That's the craziest part. I haven't really been following Feliz much but you would figure as bad as our pen is he would most definitely be with our team. The fact that he is not tells you how far off his game still is.

Be nice if Scheppers and Ross would become vital parts of the pen again.

I am saying that about Holland because his injury is different than all those others. And Colby and Harrison had tough roads to overcome with the issues they have/had.

The thing about Holland that scares the bejesus out of me is that it was a microfracture surgery where they drill holes in the bone to regenerate growth of the cartilage acting as a big scab.

“It’s brutal surgery," he told me this week. "You’re punching in and creating these big holes in the surface of the knee. When you see the surgery done, you’re just like, ‘Wow.’The idea is that the stem cells and blood from the marrow will come through those holes to become fibrocartilage, which cushions exposed bone. The problem is that fibrocartilage isn't real cartilage. The real stuff, though, is irreplaceable.

"The surgeon’s trying to create a layer of cartilage to give [the patient] some layer of shock-absorbing properties in that area," said Dr. David Geier, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist based in Charleston, South Carolina. "The problem is that’s not typically as good as the normal cartilage you have, and it tends to break down over time. We just don’t have an easy or reliable way to make cartilage new again."

Scary shit for a guy who's power comes from his legs

I remember hearing that people in the organization weren't sure if he would ever pitch for us again. There were reports that he was really overweight and his work ethic is shitty. The WS might have really screwed him up mentally. That and the fact that we experimented with him in the rotation too.

That was a crazy slo-mo shot of Cischek pitching.

MC has completely gotten away from what made him successful in ST, and that was driving the ball to right and right-center.

He was weak mentally before that. He just never had a look of confidence.

Not sure how Choo's ankle has hurt his eye at the plate but he's not seeing the ball the same way he did early this season. Though that may or may not have been a strike, this ump is awful

He had a double and a HR going the other way less than a week ago, he's just like most minor leaguers he's just not real consistent yet

It might be a coincidence, but the team is 0-4 since the message was sent by our FO that we're not signing Morales. I said before he agreed with the Twins that it sends a bad message to the team that they don't believe in them. I think the FO made a mistake here. They are going to be losing a lot more money in attendance than it would have cost to sign him.

Yeah, its crazy... I mean he was pretty lights out for 2 seasons. Even when we had him starting, he struggled some but he was still doing head and shoulders above some guys we have int he rotation now. I guess what it really boils down to is velocity is his biggest and best weapon and when that's gone he really doesn't have much left in the arsenal.

I hope that wouldn't send any sort of message to these guys- that would mean they are a pretty soft bunch. I want guys out there that think they can win at all times with whoever they are out there with. You already have a problem if players are showing doubt in each other by expecting FA signings. If anything, I would say all the injuries have probably knocked the wind out of them much more than not going after Morales.

The team is still talented I don't know that adding FA's can help these guys overcome the real problems which is the aren't executing their pitches and their approach at the plate for the most part is bad and they are bad with RISP. They are also not playing good defense and throwing the baseball all over the damn lot. Morales doesn't pitch or play much defense and he won't fix the other bats in the lineup that are the holes right now. Choo if on the field has to get better he's getting paid a bunch and EA is the same. Martin still doesn't play to his potential. Players aren't doing their jobs

You think Beltre, Elvis, Choo, and Rios weren't thinking, man we could really use Morales in the middle of this line-up? Instead we have Murphy and we're going to call up a 32 year old Snyder who has never played 1B while shuffling .220 hitters in the DH spot. I can almost guarantee that they took it as the FO is throwing in the towel.

I sure hope not. That would be showing a pretty weak team mentally in my opinion. Your job as a player to to go out and give it your best every game... not put expectations on the front office.
