I haven't seen any reports anywhere that Richards is available. If so, sure.

The Lakers didn't get Sharpe in the DFS trade, which could've been done if they added in JHS and another 2nd most likely. He's been a rumored target, which makes me think they have another target in mind (either a Kessler or Valanciuanas package, either alone or packaged with Sexton/Collins or Brogdon respectively). If those moves fall through, I could see the Lakers calling up the Nets again.

Valanciunas made more sense during the offseason when he could've essentially been folded into Lebron's current salary (Lebron would've taken less to get him reportedly). Now, he's not the defender they need and a declining player. If they can also get Brogdon maybe that's more enticing?

The rumor I have seen is that the Lakers have been working on a Kessler trade since the summer, but Ainge is hedging as Kessler might improve the Lakers' future enough that it would devalue the Lakers picks he would then be holding (the 2027 from the Westbrook trade and the proposed 2029 and 2031 for a Kessler/Sexton package).
