So I was watching an interview with Spike Lee a while back and he was claiming how he hates this movie because he feels it's racist and the Will Smith character perpetuates the racist stereotype...

I have to disagree 100%...The Will Smith character was actually the genius of the bunch...I'm a bit surprised anyone who has seen the movie(ESPECIALLY a filmmaker)would feel otherwise... But then again, it is Spike Lee lol

Yes, considering that the story was set in the 1920's, Bagger would not be allowed near the golf course so it would have been more racist for the sake of historical accuracy.

I question alot about spike lee, but seriously, a black man is a hero of an early 1900's movie and its racist?
