After starting off his career strong, Greg Zuerlein has missed some easy field goals of late, the latest and what seemed to be a makable 48 yard attempt Friday night in the Rams pre-season opener against the Saints indoors. I'll be honest, I am a little nervous now when he comes on the field in crucial situations than I was two years ago. Thoughts?

One of the stl beat writers actually wrote something short on this subject. I think you're putting a little too much thought into it. Last year he was one of the best FG kickers in the league in accuracy and distance. So I wouldn't put too much thought into it.
As far as what you're referring to is he was working with a 3rd string LS and the beat writer said all have different ways of snapping the ball and both Greg and Johnny had never worked with them before then. Spin on the ball the height it's snapped at the velocity etc. All make differences in timing and how Hecker handles the snap. Those guys are all about timing and if it's even half a second off it throws everything out of whack. He'll be fine. He's a stud

Legoman is the least of my worries about this team...He missed 2 FG's last year, that hardly qualifies as a disaster in my mind...

He missed two all of last season. He just got 'em both out of the way early this year.

:agree: When a kicker rarely misses it stands out when he does. But he had better get it together before it counts...

He's knocking the rust off now in preseason. He'll be back to Greg the Leg by September.

Young GZ will be fine, Hecker had a pretty awful punt Friday. Both are just knocking the cobwebs off. This is basically spring training, people just view the 2 differently for some reason.

We are playing in Denver this year! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Good call on the altitude thing, unless of course the game is in cold weather..Other than Denver in good weather, it' a dome or nowhere...Hope it's at home if it should happen...Not holding my breath though..

braco, the game against Denver is in the EJD.

why do you have to destroy my dreams?:yahoo:

lol, it's probably better for the Rams. Although Manning plays really good in a dome.......:noidea:

Once he gets flattened by Quinn or Donald a few times, he won't like THIS dome.
