The Bears made the playoffs in 2021. The Falcons did not. I didn't include Brady or Darnold for the same reason.

Eagles nation should be very pleased with the W on Sunday. Hurts played great. However, I think there were BETTER performances out there.
He'll get his chance this week. Niner defense is no joke.

Bears only made the playoffs because the NFL has overextended itself with 7 playoff teams per conference. They were 8-8 last year.

I voted Jones. 5 sacks with 2 FF means he just dominated everything at the LOS.... not looking forward to playing the Cards twice this year as Murray seems to be coming along... when you're that dominant on D few teams are going to win unless your own offense (which it's not) is absolute dog shit. Tennessee was also supposed to be a formidable team, and they just got ROCKED. Unlike Rodgers and other players on the team, the Titans players still actually give a shit lol. Rodgers looked like he was ready to just leave at halftime and go to the set of Jeopardy.

Regarding some others.... the Ravens have zero pass rush, and blitz 24/7... that will never work against an elite QB like Mahomes so that was whatever. Wilson did well against the Colts but the Colts IMO are borderline playoff.. and two of their better players were out (Rhodes/Fisher). There's zero chance the Colts were going to cover Metcalf/Lockett.

Stafford gets an honorable mention. I did NOT like the Rams acquiring him to begin with (because Seahawks fan).... but for the first time he actually has a competent team and coach out there. I'm also a bit biased rooting for a defender or giving them an award over QB because despite how a QB performs they generally seem to just get an auto award every time lol.

No Jalen Hurts as an option?

26/35, 77.1%, 264 passing yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 126.4 QB rating, 62 rushing yards on 7 attempts, 8.9 YPA.

Falcons have like the worst defense in the NFL....

Impressive job by Jalen but a ton of other QBs (in the list) either performed better or went against FAR better competition. And Matt Ryan is a shell of himself, his OL got worse over the offseason, and no Julio Jones (who did nothing as well... but yah).

Yes, the Eagles dominated.... but they should've... lol.

Garoppolo. Brilliant even with Shanahan trying to fuck with him wasting plays with Trey Lance

And Da Bears had the 6th or 7th best record in the NFC that season, depending on how you rank the Football Team.

The Screaming Eagles beat a 4-12 team from last season.

So easy to say they should've won when they were 3.5 point underdogs even as high as 4 point underdogs at some places prior to the game.

No. This is for MVP of week one. Good case for Garoppolo. Brilliant game by him. He is the reason they won.

Winston didn't throw a pick and the Saints beat down the Pack.

What was the Falcons record?

What does it matter? Has nothing to do with the Rams didn't play some impressive opponent like OP claims for his criteria.

His criteria that included a kicker.

Lets get some facts straight here.

The polling options included an "other" spot. In other words, you can pick anybody you want. If you want to pick a punter, long snapper, or offensive guard, be my guest. I just picked out popular names from the week one.

Yes, I included a kicker. Kickers are people too. The Raiders kicker went 2 for 2, and kicked a 55 yard field goal to send the team to OT.

I am by no means downplaying or bashing Hurts' week one performance. Like I said before, he did a pretty good job. But was he really the MVP of the week?
