Silver Linings Playbook.

It's ok I guess. I only watched it because people said it was good and seemed to have a pretty good cast. It's was borderline chick flick really, but was an ok movie overall. Wasn't very much mystery in what was going to happen and basically unfolded exactly as expected right down to the 5 score at the end.

Get Shorty

Was a rewatch because I love the movie. Saw it on netflix and had to watch it for about the 10th time.

I, Frankenstein. It was about on par with Van Helsing, which means not great but not complete garbage either.

Boyhood.

Have to respect and appreciate the time and effort involved in a project such as this. The persistence of the cast and crew. And the forethought of everyone involved with the casting. But so little time was spent on many of the years that I was left wondering what the point was to even stop by for that particular year. The movie it's self was for the most part boring. Enough alcoholism to keep it a little interesting, but not enough to make me recommend.

I like the director but I dont think his previous works ever really hit that 'best movie' kind of scale that is needed. Im sure Id enjoy Boyhood but everyone is kinda giving it an A for effort.

I have not seen it yet.

That said, I think the act of actually making this film is kinda the point. It was such a monstrous under-taking, that alone deserves massive kudos.

Kind of in the same vein as Avatar. The movie itself was meh, at best. But the entire production was sooo impressive, I think it was a legit Best Pic winner.

The Congress

Very fucked up movie with Harvey keitel and Robin Wright... Very messed up

Enemy

Very fucked up movie with Jake Gyllenhaal

Both recommended just to be talked about, not sure if anyone would like them though... they are both just very strange movies...

Enemy has the most Shocking and scary ending EVER, and no that is not an exaggeration...

All is Lost

Less dramatic than I was expecting. Decent watch, but rather boring. Very symbolic, and if you have interest in religious discussions, you may like it just for the discussions that could arise.

6.5/10

Just watched American Sniper.

Can't recommend it enough. Deserves the best picture Oscar. Leave it to Clint Eastwood to finally get a movie about what our military faced in Iraq done correctly. He knocked it out of the park.

Watch it when you have a chance.

Had a long conversation aboot it with my old lady tonight, gained a little understanding for that A for effort.

Id expected more "Stand By Me" type coming of age moments, as a dude. But after honestly hearing out a woman's perspective it was easier to cut a little slack.

Saw The Wedding Ringer tonight. No slack will be given there. Way too busy, even for a stupid comedy.

I cared more aboot the welfare of the characters in "Hoop Dreams".

Ground was broken, I'll give them that.

As I was told tonight, "You didn't get to take the class, but you got a dozen syllibi...."

I agree, this is the best movie I've seen in quite a few years. A riveting performance and great direction by Clint.

I have a 3 year old. Nothing gets watched at home anymore. She's the worst movie companion ever, and by the time she's asleep, I'm too tired to watch anything.
