Rewatched Escape Plan with my girlfriend the other night. Enjoyable movie with two aging action stars. Also you could tell how Jim Caviezel was enjoying being the villain.
BTW, don't watch the sequels, they're horrible.

Deadpool and Wolverine - B+.

Raunchy language and over the top Tarantino type gore, but pretty damn funny and entertaining.

Hilariously, the carded both my son and me getting tickets. Still, a number of parents brought their elementary school aged kids in...uh, content definitely not suited for kids.

Rewatched the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie. Had a good time watching it as it felt like it toed the line of being kid friendly and being adult friendly quite well.

Bone Tomahawk (2015) A-
Brawl In Cell Block 99 (2017) B+

Same writer/director. Nobody really talks about these two movies. Both movies have gore and brutality, but the dialogue is the highlight.

The Fall Guy. Watched the extended version on Peacock last week and I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to.

Watched Across the Spiderverse last night.

I HATE HATE HATE “to be continued” movies. That is a weak tact.

That said, decent story. Though I can’t stand the animation style.

7/10

7/10 is actually a pretty solid ranking on my scale. I almost NEVER give a 10 upon first viewing. 10s need to be earned over YEARS of rewatches and cultural influence. 9s are rarely given upon first viewings, but they do happen. 7s and 8s are movies that I actually liked, but had some major issues that hold them back (animation and “to be continued” in this case - why not deal with the first big bad while introducing the next big bad and then skip the “to be continued” card?)

Not on my radar and don’t plan on ever watching.

I will take your word for that one.

i really do recommend it... it was strange, because it wasnt the TMNT that i grew up on... not even close... once i looked past that, i appreciated the heart of it...

and i appreciated that they actually used REAL TEENAGERS voices...

tough quesiton.... i was hesitant to see the first, heard it was good, but it was a weird animation, and it was Miles...

the second, i came in with higher hopes, as i loved the first, and it still surpassed my hopes...
