One I need to see. Big Tom Cruise fan, though not so much on Jamie Foxx
The extra features on the DVD involving the work that went into lighting the cab alone are worth watching. Very educational about how much WORK goes into making movie magic.

Oh boy, the pressure for a positive review is already onThe extra features on the DVD involving the work that went into lighting the cab alone are worth watching. Very educational about how much WORK goes into making movie magic.
Were you a big fan of Heat and/or Mann in general?

Interesting. I read an interesting article about Kubrick’s innovativeness in shooting Barry Lyndon (3.5/5 stars) without electric light. The guy was truly light years ahead of his time. You may still not like it, I can't predict what you'll like or won't. It's still educational because it goes into intricate detail about lighting.

That’s about all I’ve ever read in relation to lighting in film.
They spent months custom building lighting to fit inside the body of the multiple cabs they created for the film. To make the pictures look great, but also look natural. And that's the art of it. I haven't read about Lyndon, but I assume he wanted to look as natural as possible.
The advances in lighting, notably LED's, have been pretty incredible in the last 15 years.
I've read that about it too. It's an incredibly beautiful film almost like the artwork of the period. So I really like it for that.
But the story is just so.. boring.
Disagree. The building tension in that movie is SOOO well done. Maybe you were just sleepy or something when you watched it?
I haven't see Infinity War, but there were probably numerous scenes in Guardians of the Galaxy (3/5 stars) in which I wanted to punch Pratt and whoever wrote the movie and directed the script.Avengers Infinity War
7.9/10
Some of the humor seemed forced.
I wanted to punch Chris Pratt in the face during that one scene. You might know what I’m taking about. I’m trying to keep this spoiler free.
