Jags seem to be trying harder than the Bears.

Usually the teams coming off a losing season do. I believe the coaches try to get their confidence up with a few preseason wins.

Then comes Week 1 and reality sets in.

2008 Detroit Lions went 4-0 in the preseason before going 0-16 in the regular season.

You can't determine shit off the preseason.

Its preseason. The Lions looked good in preseason a few years back and how did that work out? Just saying.

no, you cant judge from preseason. But the Jaguars offensive line is improving, believe they have a couple high draft choices. Their receivers are running good routes. From just a football perspective, they look much improved.


And second game in a row I've watched Dennard Robinson as a running back, looking pretty good.

Bears D is really bad. Out coached most every game. That is, unless the offense is called by Bill Callahan. They look half way competent then.

Jags are no longer a trainwreck. They kept improving over last season, were busy in FA and had a good draft. They can do damage these days.

This. They're my pick for most improved team this season. Don't think they're gonna win 10 games or anything like that, but I can see them winning 7 or 8 games and being competitive in most. Beyond this season I think they can definitely be a playoff team, once the younger guys gain valuable experience.

I'm a Jags fan. Well, at least as long as they're not playing the Falcons.
