Well, I will be at the next game. Me and Dunning will have to get us a win. It worked Saturday night with me and Leiter teaming up.
I'm on it. Well, me and Dane and the rest of the guys are on it.Not to oversell it, but the fate of the season is in your hands
Agree on the defense. This series was dog poop. Offense seemingly couldn’t sustain anything with the exception of 1 inning and our pitching staff couldn’t keep Rockies all over the bases for nearly the entirety of 2 games.
sloppy defense is absolutely killing this team so far.
As bad as our pitching is thought to be, they have not been blown out of any game. For the most part defense has been the culprit for losses. Expect that to turn around. Can't lay this one at the feet of the pitching. Not a pretty game for them but holding COL to 4 is a decent result.
6 Ks and 5 BBs is generally a positive sign for the lineup, just couldn't get many to fall tonight. These nights happen; shake it off, rest up tomorrow, and get the next one.
Both the jays and Rockies have better than average line ups, but it doesn’t get any easier with Ohtani and Trout coming to town.As bad as our pitching is thought to be, they have not been blown out of any game. For the most part defense has been the culprit for losses. Expect that to turn around.
One thing we all have to keep in mind. This year was not expected to be our year to contend. That was made clear. We brought in help for the offense and defense. Pitching will be addressed 2023 the way I understand it but we still will need a better OF as well. Pitching should come from young guys in the system. If that occurs and is successful, most likely we will start contending imo. Both the jays and Rockies have better than average line ups, but it doesn’t get any easier with Ohtani and Trout coming to town.
If he felt terrible, why was he playing. This is from. Chris Halicke's report.
As for Marcus Semien—who signed a seven-year, $175 million contract with Texas this offseason—he's opened the season with a rough stretch, slashing .091/.130/.136/.266 with just one RBI in 22 at-bats. Woodward said that Semien would never use it as an excuse, but the Rangers skipper revealed that his new second baseman was under the weather and "felt terrible" during the series in Toronto, which could explain the slow start for a guy who set the Major League record for home runs in a single season by a second baseman last year.

In a year or two fans of other teams will be reminding others that TEX is a tough opponent. That day is coming.TOR and COL are tough opponents.
Would be nice if Verlander would retire soon and garden gnome altuve or Bregman need to be paid soon. One thing we all have to keep in mind. This year was not expected to be our year to contend.
