The games that concern me in 2012

this sure is a weird season fer College Foosball I tell ya

you just never know what team is gonna play

When we be 5-0 after beating Wisconsin..............ye all will start to believe what I be sayin right now.

Just look at how the schedule sets up folks...........just look

after we beat wiscy the kool aid will not be chugged fast enough for most.

I however will remain pessimistic.

I will remain with the exact same mindset as before........

The 4 game stretch of Ohio State, Northwestern, Michigan, and Michigan State are going to determine the season.

We will win the first 5 games, and win the last 3 games..........what will we do in that stretch of 4 games, is the real question.

I guess it does set up pretty nice...

MSU loses Cousins and half their badass defense.
Iowa lost coker, their DC and we took their D line coach
tOSU has an all new coaching staff, BUT it is CUM so you can't say that's too much of a set back. you saw what brady hoke did, well tOSU is more talented than what Hoke was working with. That defense is gonna be scary for the next couple years.
PSU has cleaned house and loses key guys on their D, O should remain atrocious but U never know.
Wisconsin loses mr. perfect and Paul Chryst has left. and the laws of the universe clearly state we will beat them next year.
Michigan scares the livin shit outta me but the laws of the universe clearly state we will beat them next year.
Northwestern doesn't scare me one bit and the laws of the universe clearly state we will beat them next year.

It sets up real nice. My only problem is that I can totally see us having a great season, but losing to Michigan, and they'll go like 11-1 also and end up in the Championship game.

I honestly don't believe we will lose a "wtf" game next season........I just really don't. It's Rex's Senior year, Taylor will be starting for his 3rd year..........I really think they are going to take care of business when they are supposed to.

I truly believe we'll see the same discombobulated team next year when we face the good teams especially. I hope I can eat some crow next year, I really do!

Meh, we're Husker fans...........no crow to be eaten around here for anything.

If I end up being right, I aint gonna shove it any of your faces.........just like I'd hope none of you would shove it in my face if we have an 8 win season.

When the season starts next year, every single one of us is going to have that little kid inside of us who says "we're going undefeated......we're gonna do it."

It's just not everyone wants to say it outloud anymore, and that's fine..........I completely understand that. We've been saying it for years now and we keep getting snubbed, so I get that.

This time, however, it's not the little kid inside of me saying we are gonna have a great season. I really do believe everything sets up well for us to go on a run to make a BCS game in 2012. I feel real good about it.

I will fully admit, this last season, I didn't actually think we were gonna do great............the realist inside of me was saying a 3 win season was pretty good............but if you go back and look, I made several damn plorsts about how we were going to go undefeated and all the sech.....

I didn't believe one word of that.........I was just saying it because it's fun to be irrational when it comes to somethin you love like the Huskers.

This year time I'm not just saying it though..........I am dead serious. And I'm not predicting an undefeated season either.........11-1 is where I'm at.

All the silliness aside.........I think next year is going to be a good year for us. I'm excited for it.

Of course, I am hesitant just as the rest of you are.........I mean, we keep underperforming in all of these games. But I think back to the inexperience we've had in the past couple of years, and I like what I see moving forward into 2012.

Our 2-deep is pretty solid across the board. I am putting my faith in this coaching staff now to develop the players further here this offseason............and I am hopeful that the 70 upperclassmen that we return will return with something to prove.

Unless our team becomes a more disciplined team I really don't see things getting better especially in 2012. Just by decreasing the mistakes in every game, that would equate to a 2 game swing or so. I would like to add that Mr. Raymond needs to concentrate on actually teaching his players the fundamentals as opposed to forcing them to do belly flops when they make mistakes! That would certainly make at least a one game swing with that. If I hear that he's continuing to force the belly flop crap on his players, I will do my best to campaign for a national belly flop award for college football.

There are of course quite a few other things that can be improved upon to be a sound football team instead of a disaster of a team like we've seen when a really good opponent comes around. Again, improvement with the little things will make a huge difference.

If we were a disciplined team I believe the only game we would of lost would be Michigan. Yes I believe we would of beat Wisconsin if we were a sound disciplined team.
Mistakes and lack of focus is what is keeping us from going to the next level. No amount of talent is going to make a difference until this is fixed.
