I like both Joe Cocker and Stevie Ray Vaughn. All a matter of taste I suppose
Cocker's voice can grate, but the Grease Band were some very talented musicians

Pink Floyd - It might be just me but I am not a huge fan of their music.
I picture you as more of a Bread kinda guy.Floyd has a cult-following, so you'd better not criticize them too loudly, or you'll get a bunch of "you suck! you need to listen to THIS Floyd album," etc.
I've listened to almost everything Pink Floyd ever recorded, and it's just not my cup of tea. Most of their tracks make me wanna slit my wrists
Hmmm this same description would apply to the Wiggles

By the way, YOU SUCK!
Health reasons??? He had to go to rehab because he was addicted to fruit saladDARE you besmirch my beeeeelurved Wiggles! I cried when Greg, the original Yellow Wiggle, had to retire for health reasons...they were never the same afterwards

Damn right I am!!Yummy yummy...that's probably their best work. I didn't realize you were a fan?
Bob Dylan is my all time favorite, for the record. Not really a classic rock artist IMO, and yes, his singing was always shaky even in the 1960s. But without a doubt, a great--arguably the greatest rock songwriter ever.
Clearly this discussion shows how subjective music can be.

I have been to 3 concerts. Someday I may take the kids
Concur with the song writing prowess. But I really don't like to hear him singI had a Dylan period, I think every music fan does at some point. Most of what I liked from his catalog was from earlier in his career, but I could only take so much of it. Like he said in one of his own songs, "You sound like a hillbilly...we don't want folk singers here"
Same here. We watched every episode over and OVER again. Then there was the lovely DVD's courtesy of the grandparents. Every so often I get one of those songs stuck in my head.Never took my kids to see them live, none of us do well with big crowds. But we probably watched every stupid video of theirs a bazillion times. Even today, somebody will say a sentence that reminds the rest of us of a Wiggles' song, and we'll all start singing it together.
God...I'm so...LAME

I guess I did like him with the Traveling WilburysDefinitely an influential artist and activist, no way to deny that.
Krieger was the heart and soul of the Doors but the other guys sucked.Ehh...I don't care to defend Morrison too much, but he DOES have some actual poems that are somewhat better than their song lyrics.
I'm on record earlier in the thread, though: Robby Kreiger was the true genius behind the doors.
Ray Manzarek was annoying AF.Krieger was the heart and soul of the Doors but the other guys sucked.
