The Five Most Overrated Classic Rock Artists

What they definitely are not is classic rock, so it was wrong for me to include them, regardless.

Radiohead is only about halfway Rock if you look at their discography but they are in the rock and roll Hall of Fame if they want to be, their first album is over 25 years old, and there is probably a 90% chance that classic rock stations will be playing Creep and maybe Karma Police at some point in the next five years.

Heck, my classic rock station plays some songs from Black Crows, Soundgarden, Metallica Black Album, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and later Tom Petty.

There won't be any gate-keeping with classic rock. Music carries a weight of nostalgia and the genre is going to be more inclusive to the younger generations. Its just not going to have nearly the same amount of content to work with.

Did you just compare BSB to the Beatles? The Beatles sung some rock songs! BSB sung pop songs and were only ever popular because of that Carter guy. Now they are desperate for money.

All of them were better singers.

Bruce Springsteen - Well, yeah, he doesn't completely suck, but, … yeah
KISS- Sure, they're overrated, but who gives a fuck, they're fun!

The Doors - No, … no, no, no, no, NO! Completely wrong. I get his point with the Moog on Meth, but his ripping on Morrison is way off.

I don't think Steely Dan is overrated at all. I've never heard of them referred to as one of the best.
