Best position player in baseball, I would't argue with.
You'd argue that a pitcher is above him?

I'd still say he's the best overall player, even including pitchers, but I do think it is close between him and Kershaw.Best position player in baseball, I would't argue with.
Yes. Clayton Kershaw, hands down is the best pitcher in baseball and has been for probably 6 years. I would put him above Trout. You'd argue that a pitcher is above him?

That would be interesting. There is getting to me a few innings on Kershaw's arm, I guess that's the one downside to pitching in the Bigs at 20.I consider myself a big Kershaw fan. I've had him in my keeper fantasy league since his first year in the minors, but if MLB rosters got wiped out and I could make the first pick for the Indians, I'd take Trout.
It'd be interesting to pose that question to all the MLB GMs and see what answers you'd get.

You could say the exact same thing about Trout, but I think the difference between Trout and the next best position player is larger than the difference between Kershaw and the next best pitcher.Yes. I'd say that Trout has been the best position player every single season, up until this year because he got hurt.
Oh you're right, and when I first looked at it I meant to put 2015 as the only season he wasn't. Then I had to do some work and got distracted. Harper was better.2015?
Who would you call the second best pitcher? You could say the exact same thing about Trout, but I think the difference between Trout and the next best position player is larger than the difference between Kershaw and the next best pitcher.
I'd say that Trout has been the best position player every single season, up until this year because he got hurt. For Kershaw, I don't believe that's the case.
2017: Scherzer has been better
2016: Would have been, but he got hurt
2015: I'd say he was the best
2014: Clearly the best
2013: Clearly the best
2012: I'd take Verlander
2011: Close between him, Halladay, and Verlander. I like Halladay there
Halladay
Scherzer or Sale. Who would you say is the 2nd best position player?Who would you call the second best pitcher?
Scherzer or Sale. Who would you say is the 2nd best position player?
Yeah he was a beast. First ballot HOFer I hope.Boy, did that guy fall off the table or what? 2002-2011, ten straight years averaging 220 IP a season with a 2.97 ERA, puts up his two best seasons in '10 and '11 and then basically disappears. Barely reached 200 IP in the following two season with a 5.15 ERA.
If you line up Scherzer or Sale against Kershaw, there is a significant difference in ERA and WHIP.Scherzer or Sale. Who would you say is the 2nd best position player?
Me too. A true workhorse for sure/Yeah he was a beast. First ballot HOFer I hope.
I certainly think that right now Kluber is in the discussion. Since he didn't break out until 2014 I left him off.Think Kluber is actually further than that^^^^ discussion than he should be
I said it was either of the two. Last May.That's weird. @Omar 382 told me that was Noah Syndergaard.
