My bad. I always forget about Shawshank which is indeed his best imo, but I wanted to stick to the horror genre. The Shining was pretty weak, both the big screen movie and made for tv mini-series I think it was. The Running Man, which could fall under the horror genre. Might be the worst adaption of a King book to a movie ever made. That's a shame too cuz it's a book that screams to be a movie.

The Green Mile has to be up there.

They are also remaking IT.

super natural not a horror film.

I was thinking of going to see this. Then I saw that the movie was only 1.5 hours long. Seemed short so I went to confirm the length and then discovered that this movie is getting terrible reviews. The fuck happened?

I like the fact that it's just 1.5 hours long. Too often these days studios demand that most "big" movies be 2.5 hours long and they end up with too much "filler: in them, or a series that should've been 2 movies is stretched into 3.

I wasn't expecting to see Eddie or Detta until the second movie. They didn't show up in the books until the second book.

Also, there are 8 books but I can't believe they would make 8 movies. I would expect maybe 4 tops.

But I am hoping this one bombs out big time so they don't go any farther. Then after awhile they can reboot it and hopefully get it right.

I have never heard they were dropping Eddie and Detta. I had heard they were making Detta white and renaming her, but I had never heard they were dumping her completely.

This is only the beginning. Trying to bring in fans that know nothing about it; then leading to move movies, TV show, etc....They've already written a pilot for TV, based on Wizard and Glass. All we need is for this first movie to do well and we keep getting more in depth. And I believe it will because all the true fans will go see it no matter what

If You Want to Like 'The Dark Tower,' Reset Your Expectations

That article based everything on the first trailer. He never saw the movie and didn't claim to know anything about the production or plans of the series.

But he never said the series would not have the Ka. He said there was no evidence of the ka in the trailer. And of course it wouldn't, they don't appear in this movie and were never supposed to (outside of some foreshadowing, which I expect).
