Texas(10-3) beat Valparaiso (4-6) 7-1 in the midweek game. Texas had 9 hits to 4 for Val., Texas had no errors, Val. 2 which lead to 4 unearned runs. Ben Johnson had the hot Horns' bat going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, a walk and 2 runs. Next up is the home series with Hawaii. I'm betting the Horns wish it was in Hawaii.

Texas (11-3) beat the Hawaii Rainbows(6-7) 3-2 on Friday for their 6th straight win. Texas had 9 hits to Ha. 5 and an error which lead to an unearned run. It was tied 2-2 until the 8th when Jacob Felts(2 for 4) hit a single to score Mark Payton(2 for 4). Only 3 walks for both teams, one by Texas, for the game, which was fairly unusual.
A doubled header is scheduled today with the finale on Sunday, this is the only DH during the regular season for the Horns.

Texas(11-4) lost the first DH game 6-1 to Hawaii(7-7). Both teams had 2 errors each, Hawaii outhit Texas 7-2. Ugh.

The 2nd game was halted 2-2 in the top of the eighth due to rain.

#5 Oregon State goes 4-0 this weekend.

1hitter on Friday, a no-no yesterday and a 4 hitter today.

Texas(13-4) won Saturday's rain delayed game on Sunday 3-2 against Hawaii(7-9) when Kacy Clemens(Roger's son) singled in the bottom of the 8th scoring Brad Johnson. Texas outhit the Rainbow Warriors 7-3 and neither team had an error.

Texas won the series finale 4-1against Hawaii. Hawaii had 3 errors, none of which led to a run, Texas went errorless. Texas outhit Hawaii 8-4. CJ Hinojosa went 3-4, 2 RBIs, a run and walk. Mark Payton went 0-2 with 3 walks and 2 runs. Lukas Schiraldi(Calvin's son) got the win and is 2-1 for the season.

In a rare away mid-week game Texas (14-4) beat Texas State(10-6) 6-3. Texas outhit Tx St 9-7 both team committing 2 errors, neither led to unearned runs. Ben Johnson hit a lead off homer in the 1st, eventually going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Catcher Tres Barrerra went 3 for 4.
The Bobcats made a game of it by scoring 3 runs and tying it in the bottom of the 3rd. Texas immediately responded by scoring 1 in the top of the 4th. Texas made it safe by scoring 2 in the top of the 9th.

Texas hosts Kansas(12-3) this weekend, which reverted to reality this past weekend by going 1-2 vs Stanford, losing their midweek game 8-7 to Oral Roberts and now own a 3 game losing streak.

Kansas(13-4) took the opener at Texas(14-5) 3-2. Kansas outhit Texas 10-6. The Jayhawks scored 2 in the first and got their 3rd run in the 5th. Texas scored 1 in the 9th to make it close.
Connor McKay went 4 for 5 getting the eventual game winner and only RBI in the 5th.

Texas(15-5) evened the series by beating Kansas(13-5) 2-1 on Saturday. The Longhorns scored 2 in the first and held on to win after Kansas scored 1 in the 3rd. Kansas outhit UT 6-5. Both teams has an error, but Kansas' error led to 2 unearned runs.

Heels take the series from Maryland and improve to 14-5 (4-2) on the year. Looks like our bats are starting to come alive as we won 9-4 today and 7-0 Friday. Lost Saturdays game 3-2 on a walk off single in the 9th.
