Texas(4-2) took down Stanford(2-3) 9-3 on Friday. A 5 run 2nd inning was enough to get Parker French(1-1) his first win of the season. He had 8 SOs in 6 innings. Texas had 13 hits and no errors, Stanford had 9 and 0. Mark Payton continued his early season tear, going 4 for 5 with 3 RBIs.

Yeah. All of our good experienced players are now in MLB.

Well it takes a coach a while to figure out pitching rotation/batting order en sech.

Florida got off to an abysmal start last season, but rebounded enough to still make the NCAA Tournament.

You may not host Regionals and Super Regionals, but other than that it's a clean slate come tournament time.

It's UNC, I wouldn't get too concerned at this point.

Yeah. All of our good experienced players are now in MLB.

This is standard at Texas, except it happens to our recruits. Texas gets a baseball recruit and MLB decides to draft him. We got lucky this year, many of the recruits decided to go to college instead of getting paid to play.

In other news Texas(5-2) beat Stanford(2-4) 4-3 on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 9th with the base loaded when Shaw scored. Texas had 6 hits to Stanford's 10. There was only 1 error and it lead to an unearned run by Texas. Mark Payton went 3 for 3, scoring a RBI and a run. He was also walked twice.

Texas(5-3) went for the sweep of Stanford(3-4) and those thoughts were dispelled when the Cardinals scored 4 in the 2nd. Even though Stanford committed 3 errors(none for UT) they romped Texas 11-5 with 11 hits(UT 7). They also figured out how to control Mark Payton as they walked him 3 times as he went 1 for 2 with no RBIs.

Nice. 4 wins in a row. We have 1 game with Presb. on Tuesday or Wed. then a 3 game set with the dirtpeckers this coming weekend.
