They still have one of the best top fours in the league, two solid scoring lines, and Turco isn't any worse than Niemi. They could win the Central if they avoid the injury bug and pick up a little luck.
i think thats the key.. if they lose one of their top 4 forwards, or top 4 d-men, they would be in serious trouble.. last year they had the depth to cover for it if it happened.. this year they will not
I think they lost too many depth/character players to be anywhere comparable to what they were last year. They may make the playoffs but look form them to be a lower seed against Vancover or Detroit
And on that note, until Vancouver proves they can play deep into the playoffs and be a legit threat, the Hawks could easily get by the Nucks, Detroit may be tougher comp because of more skilled players and veteran depth, but age could catch up with them. Chicago will not be the same but could still get to the playoffs and have a shot, especially if Turdco has a decent year. You just never know!

I know I'm biased but I would say the Hawks have a better chance of making the playoffs then not making them. This is still a very good team, if they stay away from the injury bug they have a shot of doing it again. Alot of the AHL players they are bringing in a high talent guys, so lets let the season play out first.
Well, I wish you luck then man.
Break a leg.
Honestly though horse, in my humble opinion, I think the Sabres (even though I think both the Sabres and Hawks will make the playoffs) have a better chance of missing the playoffs than the Blackhawks. They (Hawks) are still solid.
