Got to admit, fatboy was clutch today. Hated to see Koepka quit six shots into the round.Lowry was really dialed in and never faltered.
LOL at jb Holmes. What a chump. Goes from 10 under to 2 under in 11 holes
Gotta agree. I was thinking the same thing yesterday. The most boring Major I can remember.Nice to see an Irishman win there. It was a pretty boring event though, especially today.
Yep. Went from 10 under to 6 over in 18 holes. he quit, but I knew he would choke; just not that badly.Talk about mailing it in for Koepka...JB Holmes battled to break 90...87...a lot of that was wind and hi ball hitters, but JB was awful.

No. He doesn't have what it takes to win a Major. He sucked...no way around it. He started the day 6 shots back and ending roughly 16 shots back...I guess you can say he choked away some money, but he was never going to win the championship.

Actually his play on Saturday was the clincher...Sunday he didn't need to do much but hang on...nobody within 5 shots of the lead even shot in red numbers.Lowry's dominant performance made it boring.

& it cost him a fortune. He received $25k for finishing T-67. Finishing anywhere in the top 10 would have netted him considerably more $$. Perhaps he doesn't care about money or just can't handle the pressure.
Even though it is the most prestigious of the Majors I think The Masters is the easiest to win. Smallest field, same course every time etcYa know, I kinda agree...but I said the same thing about Sergio...in fact I think Sergio thought his days for winning a major were over and he bags a Masters.
Interesting that JB is not a guy many in the golf media really felt would win many majors in spite of his length.
Not just that, the ball bouncing all over the place and playing balls sideways out of the bunker and the gorse just makes it kind of silly.Lowry's dominant performance made it boring.

I heard that the reason that Augusta National favors a draw is because that was the ball flight Bobby Jones used and he designed the course to suit his game. Not that it would make it the easiest, but I wonder which one has the most 1st time winners?
I think course knowledge is such a big deal at AN, some players catch on quick, such as Spieth or Willett. Kaymer tried to change his fade into a draw in his prime to win there and screwed himself up. Others like Ernie played well, but just got beat by a better score. If you struggle moving the ball left AN is a hard track...Phil used to draw the ball, only won the Masters when he went to the fade.
I think the PGA is the easiest.
