The Big12 ADs and Presidents suck at PR and that is part of the problem

They say some of the dumbest comments in public.

For one, you don't trash another conference.

Missouri's President last year: "We want to head off to the Big10."

That started this whole mess in the first place and Missouri is in a horrible spot because he could not deliver.

Oklahoma's Boren: "We won't to be in Pac12 over other leagues because of their academic reputation."

That is like telling your girlfriend: "Well you are only average looking, you're not as good looking as her."

Stupidity.

Texas' president burning bridges with A&M by threatening not to play them anymore.

Baylor threatening to sue everyone.

A&M calling out Texas about everything.

How do any of these college presidents have a job? This is about as unprofessional as you can get.

I feel bad for schools like Iowa State, Kansas, and Kansas State who have been caught up in all this mess.

I just find it funny that these professionals are acting so unprofessional. Well, I guess I shouldn't from my work experience. I am only 27 and from my time in law and Corporate America, I have learned that just because you finished Cum Laude doesn't mean you know what is going on. I have also found that some people in high ranks rarely act professional. Fortunately, my current employer is very professional about everything.

Well the problem with Academics is a lot of times it is more about who your parents are then your intelligence. I could have easily gone to a US News top 25 school if I could have afforded it. I choose to go to Tennessee because it was in my price range (in-state). It wasn't the best school but it got me into law school and then a job so I cannot complain.

The problem with the Book Smart v. Common Sense argument is that Book Smart people are often too arrogant to listen to others and that is why they fail. They are smart to a degree but then their head goes so far up their ass they start making all kinds of mistakes and they think the world should be given to them on a platter because they worked ten years at top law firm and went to top law school.
