Before this past recruiting class Michigan State never had more than 4 players on scholarship that had an offer from Michigan. I'm not talking about in each class, I mean on an 85 man roster. MSU has never really taken any players from Michigan. So Hoke was winning the recruiting battles against Dantonio, but Dantonio is an exponentially better coach than Hoke.

Ya think?

So tell me, if Michigan State is averaging one player a year with an offer from Michigan, how does Michigan being bad before now equal Michigan State getting better recruits Because Michigan was down?

I never said that. I think Michigan State has been developing recruits and playing well. THAT, in turn, has attracted more quality recruits. Recruits want to play on winning teams. It's not rocket science.

When all 3 of the 4 bluebloods are on one side that seems to be a problem to me.

The money and top 4 coaches are in the East. I can understand arguments of the West will come around but I call Bullshit when you have the the 4 historically best B1G teams on one side.

When Oklahoma and Kansas leave the B12 for the B1G and go to the West division everything will be fine.

"Does the school must have someone on staff to blow the cobwebs and dust off that room?"
It's just one cobweb so Ferentz does it himself

My B1G Power Rankings

1) Ohio State (7-0, 3-0) - Last Week: 1 - The Buckeyes defeated Penn State by 4 touchdowns. They looked better for a second straight week.
2) Iowa (7-0, 3-0) - Last Week: 3 - Iowa has at least 2-game lead to any team in B1G West after 40-10 win against NW. Two straight games where they won by 2 scores or more.
3) Michigan State (7-0, 3-0) - Last Week: 4 - Highlight of the day to beat Michigan in the Big House, but they still struggled the last two weeks vs Rutgers and Purdue.
4) Michigan (5-2, 2-1) - Last Week: 2 - I think Michigan and Nebraska took wrong turns. Mic higan had the game won and blew it. But just coming off 3-straight shutouts gives them highest team with defeat.
5) Wisconsin (5-2, 2-1) - Last Week: 6 - Tough call between Wisconsin and Penn State. I think Wisconsin has looked better lately.
6) Penn State (5-2, 2-1)
- Last Week: 7 - Has only lost to current undefeated teams. Have a good win against Indiana.
7) Illinois (4-2, 1-1) - Last Week: 9 - Illinois make 2-spot jump on their bye week. Late turnover had major impact vs Iowa and they defeated Illinois.
8) Northwestern (5-2, 1-2) - Last Week: 5 - Two weeks ago, they were #2 on here, but after being outscored 78-10 in 2 games, they drop to #8.
9) Nebraska (3-4, 1-2) - Last Week: 11 - Nebraska dominated Minnesota, but was their 2nd win in last 5 games. However, much better than 3 winning-record teams.
10) Rutgers (3-3, 1-2) - Last Week: 12 - Defeated Indiana might not be super impressive, but losing by 1-score to MSU is.
11) Minnesota (4-3, 1-2) - Last Week: 8 - Dominated B1G's worst team but lost to the 2 NUs with combined score of 75-25.
12) Indiana (4-3, 0-3) - Last Week: 10 - Entered B1G play undefeated, looked like a team that could be dark horse after tOSU. Then got dominated by PSU and lost to Rutgers.
13) Maryland (2-4, 0-2) - Last Week: 13 - Outscored 122-34 against Power 5 opponents, if you include Bowling Green, 170-61.
14) Purdue (1-6, 0-2) - Last Week: 14 - 5-game losing streak and has yet to beat a FCS opponent.

^ Wisconsin has only lost to Iowa and Alabama. They're having a down year but they're not that bad. I'm not convinced they wouldn't beat Michigan, at least at home, based on defense.

Michigan's losses came from Utah and MSU, both undefeated. Michigan has had more convincing of wins compared to Wisconsin. I can't put Wisconsin higher, but I do think after they lost to Iowa, people started viewing them as not good. I think they will beat Northwestern and finish 2nd in the West.

Amazing what Iowa can do when they don't have to play Ohio state or either Michigan school

I think Iowa could beat the Michigans. Not so sure about Ohio State. I heard (rumor, no source so not sure) that if Iowa and Michigan had a regular season game, B1G wouldn't have let Rudock transfer there. I want to see Iowa-Michigan CCG.

They are very highly ranked this year....in the pre season hoops polls.

I don't think the B1G has the authority to tell a graduate student where he is allowed to go to school

He fits in there nicely. He would have headset on Iowa sideline. He would have played 4th quarter yesterday though.

That's the most likely scanario. Iowa is almost a lock unless something weird happens and I give OSU the best odds of the top 3 in the East

looking forward to seeing Sparty cop some non-publicity/non-spotlight for at least the next couple of weeks...
get past Indiana next SA in ELansing then rest, recuperate and recharge for the schedule home stretch.

besides, there's plenty of great storylines in the B1G to occupy everybody anyway - starting with the remarkable Hawkeye run nobody (except Hawkeyes) seems to care diddly about.
