I'm actually ok with eliminating a couple of OOC games.

Most P5 play maybe 1 decent OOC game and 2 or 3 body bag games. Is anyone really missing those body bag games? from a fans perspective, I know the actual G5 conferences are missing them money wise. I guess maybe the teams that need them to pad their W-L numbers.

They are body bag games for good teams(at least most of the time). With that said, mostly everyone plays at least 1 P5 team. I was looking forward to Michigan vs UW, OSU vs Oregon, VT vs PSU over OSU vs (Insert B1G game). This year was set up to be a fantastic slate of OOC games, especially after last year's where they were atrocious.

Regionalization of CFB isn't a good thing IMO.

10 game conference schedules + 2 OOC games is what i'd like to see.

Its pretty much "regionalized" as is besides maybe that 1 OOC game for some teams. The body bag games are generally against the G5 conference most prominent in the region of the school.

I think what players will do has more to do with the "star power" of the players opting out in question than you would think. Its gonna take one of the upper QBs calling it quits to really open up the gates. Not saying Bateman isnt a elite college player at his position. But it is what it is

so you're saying Tanner Morgan is next?

;)

I'd like to see 8 conference games with 2 P5 OOC games at minimum. Just look at some of the schedules in the next 5-10 years. Between 2028-2031 UGA has 3 P5's lined up. And they are all big time programs. To go with GT, they also play Texas, Clemson, FSU, OSU and OU in that 4 year stretch. If you stick with 8 you're going to see this more often. 25-28 Bama already has 2 P5's lined up. Same with OSU. I don't want to see those games get cancelled to add more conference games. If you're OSU, why get rid of UT/Washington for anybody in the B1GW?

So you'd be okay playing 12 P5 games in a season? Honestly, if it went that way if be fine with it. But I still like that G5 schools can play P5 schools.

So.... Not front loading divisional games?

Honestly, OSU's schedule doesn't make sense. michigan is in the middle of the season. Playing some West teams early.

I think they should have designated one rivalry game for each school, and placed it somewhere after a bye week.

Apparently on a conference call, Harbaugh bitched about OSU coaches doing something, so Day shit back with something like "you worry about what you're doing, and I'll worry about my coaches"

Afterward, during a team meeting, Day said that michigan better hope the conference institute a mercy rule, cause they're hanging 100 on them

He was probably bitching that Ohio State coaches keep beating him.

I would be but I dont think it would ever happen, unless they is a total breakaway from the P5 and G5 into seperate divisions.

Most of the G5 likely wouldn't survive long without the yearly money from body bag games.

Michigan has been PRETTY GOOD over the past 15 or so years at throwing fuel on a fire thats already out of control.

Expectations but what the hell will happen. Wisky is suppose to have a pretty decent team a better one than last year and it appears the toughest game will be at Michigan.

Here is the full schedule:
  • Sept. 4: Indiana
  • Sept. 12: At Northwestern
  • Sept. 19: At Nebraska
  • Sept. 26: Minnesota
  • Oct. 3: At Maryland
  • Oct. 10: Purdue
  • Oct. 17: Bye
  • Oct. 24: Illinois
  • Oct. 31: At Michigan
  • Nov. 7: Bye
  • Nov. 14: At Iowa
  • Nov. 21: Rutgers
Previously, Wisconsin was supposed to play Nebraska inside Camp Randall Stadium while going out to West Lafayette to take on Purdue. Now, the Badgers will face the Huskers inside Memorial Stadium in Lincoln but host the Boilermakers.
