That looks about right. I think Minnesota/Wisconsin will be very tight, with Iowa right behind. Only change could be, if this Penn State situation has teeth, I think the program is blown up - as it should be. The details of the allegations are absolutely horrifying, especially the behavior by Franklin.

Unless more comes out, I can see Franklin getting a pass. But with PSU history, who knows.

That's where I think the hammer comes down. If this happened at nearly any other program, I could see that happening. However, the Sandusky situation is only a few years old, and the fact that rather than act on the issues happening, Franklin punished the player by making him run extra drills looks extremely bad. PSU might not have a choice but to fire him and expel the kids.

I'm trying to debate if going to Lansing is worth it for B1G road trip.

Coombs back to OSU is the absolute best case scenario we could've asked for. I'd expect Cameron Martinez to officially sign within the week, and not only is this a huge boost in recruiting, but I don't expect us to skip a beat on the field.

Haha, yeah, so they can just get their ass kicked by Oklahoma instead.

And :pound: that the conference is biased AGAINST michigan...
And they would be losing a significant amount of money going to the Big12, not even looking at the cost of travel for all of the non-profit sports.

He can't sign until signing day, which I believe is the first Wednesday in February.

I thought that was just the dead period for coaches contacting recruits? I thought recruits could sign any time after the first signing day. I might be wrong on that.

National Signing Day
For many sports, especially in Division I, National Signing Day has become a celebrated event. Technically, student-athletes do not need to sign their National Letters of Intent on the first day of the signing period, but many do. Below are the signing dates for each sport for student-athletes signing in 2019-2020 for 2020-2021 enrollment:

Everything You Need to Know About National Signing Day

Sport Initial Signing Date Final Signing Date

D1 Football (early period) December 18, 2019 - December 20, 2019

D1 and D2 Football (regular period) February 5, 2020 -Division I: April 1, 2020

(unrelated stuff removed)

Iowa says fuck it they are letting people in like last year

Iowa planning to "open Kinnick up" for college football season

The Iowa Hawkeyes are scheduled to kickoff inside Kinnick Stadium on September 5 against the Northern Iowa Panthers. Of Iowa's 48,000 season tickets sold from the 2019 season, about 75-80 percent of them have been renewed. That begs the question, what will college football look like in 2020?

Right now, nobody knows. But Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta met with reporters on Thursday and said that the University is planning to open up Kinnick Stadium up to the public when the Hawkeyes take on the Panthers.

"We have 100 more days (until Iowa kick off) and by then, my guess is we're going to learn a lot between now and then," Barta told local reporters. "My staff (and I) are still planning for several different scenarios and the scenarios we plan for, can change by the day, by the hour, by the week, but as of today, we are still planning to open Kinnick up and have as many fans that want to join us, join us."
