His nut hugging of Sanchez and Clausen were unbelievable to me. Mike Williams (USC) was a freak of nature talent wise, he (just like Russell) obviously got paid and quit. Both had they given 110% would've likely been highly successful.

But Sanchez/Clausen? I'll admit I liked Clausen but not as 4th best overall player. And SANCHEZ!? Are you kidding me? Anyone that didn't call that kid busting straight out of college was mad.

Seems more like a list of the past 10 years not NFL History.

This guy should be on it:

Also I recall Aaron Curry was considered the "safest" pick in the draft when he came out.

Bosworth was another guy with a hype machine behind him as well.

Some experts thought that the Colts made a mistake in taking Manning over Leaf.

Todd Marinovich was a pretty good one, 2nd QB taken (ahead of Brett Favre) with a serious drug problem, cocaine, heroin, LSD, meth, and on and on and on, he's probably still on probation for some substance or another.

1991 was different time and place, wouldn't be able to pull that off now.
