The Bears are not a possible option for an overseas game.
The link below apparently supports your take here. I don't see the Bears listed as a team for any overseas game:The Bears are not a possible option for an overseas game.
Team | 2024 Pre-season SOS | 2024 SOS | Difference |
Browns | 1 | 6 | -5 |
Ravens | 2 | 16 | -15 |
Steelers | 3 | 11 | -8 |
Packers | T-4 | 3 | +1 |
Texans | T-4 | 17 | -13 |
Bills | T-6 | 12 | -6 |
Giants | T-6 | 14 | -8 |
Jaguars | T-8 | 27 | -19 |
Raiders | T-8 | 20 | -12 |
Patriots | T-8 | 18 | -10 |
That's an interesting take that rarely if ever gets discussed. The strength of schedule is always a subject of interest at the start of the season, but never at its end when it matters most.
Team 2024 Pre-season SOS 2024 SOS Difference Browns 1 6 -5 Ravens 2 16 -15 Steelers 3 11 -8 Packers T-4 3 +1 Texans T-4 17 -13 Bills T-6 12 -6 Giants T-6 14 -8 Jaguars T-8 27 -19 Raiders T-8 20 -12 Patriots T-8 18 -10
For reference, the Bears started last year as T-29th toughed schedule and ended with the 8th.
I wouldn't be worried so much about the "toughness" of the schedule and just beating the teams you're supposed to beat when we get there

Exactly. If Caleb progresses and takes a big step? If this team figures out how to close games they should win? We're going to find 10-11 wins, IMO.Clearly the games have to be played, but every year teams fall off and teams rise. The packers do not strike me as a team that is very good and the commies should have lost to the bears last year. Joe burrow and that offense is always a challenge but I'm guessing that defense will still be a sieve.Minny depends on how good JJ is. Outside the raiders the rest are certainly a challenge.
The real part I wanna see is the Caleb Williams effect.....I hooe he is as advertised,as he showed flashes of it last season, and hope the Bears def can keep us in ghe game to where we need to score 30÷ plus a game to win......

Guess this makes it official:The Bears are not a possible option for an overseas game.
I heard that they are allowed to have 6 prime time games, not sure if they can be flexed into a 7th.Could the Bears be on prime time this often in '25?

Predicting Chicago Bears 2025 Prime Time Games
Here’s looking at who the Bears could be playing in stand alone gameswww.windycitygridiron.com
We know three of these games are already on the books - the 'Black Friday' game at the Eagles, the week 16 Saturday game at home against the Packers, and Xmas night at the Commanders. However, for ex-pats like me who live in a neutral city, I won't be able to catch the Eagles game being televised on Amazon Prime, or the Commanders game being shown on Netflix, being I don't subscribe to either. Actually, I'm a former subscriber to Netflix, so maybe I'll consider re-upping with them. But I'm never more than a short drive from a casino sports book, so I can always catch those games there. The others mentioned in the article are just suggestions at this point, but all of them are sensible. Ok, maybe the Steelers as a national game is a bit of a stretch.
Black Friday game is a weird sort of concept, but I'll definitely look forward to it this year.Supposedly Adam Schefter reported it....atleast he is believable....but still who knows.
1 more day to go.
