Holy doodle, nice backcheck by McGratton - Never thought I'd type that.

Why do I think the Flames will run out of gas in the 3rd period and the Jackets will skate away with a 4-2 win? Nice effort through two periods from the boys in white though.

Not sure what's up with the Jackets D lollygagging in their zone. Murray and Jenner both look strong, though.

And yeah, Johansen looks like he's gained 20lbs. Hasn't slowed him down much though. Hope he gets some faster wingers instead of Foligno and Umby.

4-3

On replay, that was a phenomenal play by Arty Party. One that doesn't happen without the new net rules. No idea how he got the toe of that stick on it.

Comeau with an Ovechkin level backcheck on GlenGarry's goal :L And Atkinson chewed him out right after

Some are going to find that one hard to take, but the Jackets simply didn't deserve it. They got outworked, out hustled and out hungered. Richards pulled the chute too early on the lines (IMO) and Johnson blew the momentum (TOUCH THE PUCK FIRST, NO NECK!).

At least the forwards fought back, if the rookies were nervous it didn't show and Bob is pretty much right where he was reaction wise and play read wise before the Jackets went on their run last year. As my sone said "It's like he just folds his legs under him instead of dropping to his knees. He's like a spider."

Good one dash. I will miss playing the Flames.

Oh, and with the thread title I gave, I guess the Flames can have Erixon back.

Maybe tomorrow's thread will be for Comeau...

Quite simply - Worked his ass off. He came to camp in game shape, went out and did everything the coaching staff asked of him and agreed to move from Center to the left side. He goes into corners, he goes to the net, and he stands up for his teammates.

And there was instant chemistry with Dubinski. That was a big help.

Don't know how long he'll stay there, but he's got the wheels to keep up and if he keeps space open for Gaborik, he should hang out a while. I was expecting a third line/Second PP role and then seeing how he fit when Horton comes back. Really didn't expect first line, although at rookie camp you could see he was a big step above everyone but Murray.

Thanks. Great to hear. I view Jenner as a wrecking ball. At worst he's a 3rd liner. Maybe the sky is the limit for him.
