Maybe. But the problem is, with all of the shit that LaVar has talked, including stating that if you can't afford them, you're not a big baller...How do you lower the price without looking like you failed?

Good point. That would just draw more ridicule.

LaVar is an idiot and a terrible father pimping his kids out like he has.

Lonzo will be a solid BBall player, but he won't even be the best from his draft class.

people will buy them because they can

Same reason why people buy $100 jeans instead of Levi's

I can see a few collectors buying them because that's all about having something someone else doesn't have. I mean, there are people who would still buy a DeLorean if one were available. But I doubt there'd be much interest beyond that.

Yeah, were it not for him insulting probably 90%+ of his intended customer base, it would be a pretty good strategy. After all, people are definitely talking about his shoes, which creates a lot of free advertising. That's actually a good business model...until you insult pretty much all of your potential customers. :L

Not a fan of the gold logo, but I'll wear them if I could afford them lol.
For $500, they better have a Gucci, LV, Ferragamo, YSL label on them.

3 pairs of Jordan's > 1 pair of 3B Lonzo's

Shit, I'd wear Starburys before I'd put a nickel in Lavar's pocket.

Smart move, now when all these shoes sell he gets all the money.

Granted this is like the shoe version of Billy beer.

Looks like the non stick shoes you have to buy to work at a fast food restaraunt. Only these have golden lining. It'd be hilarious if Lonzo sucks or has a debilitating injury ala Shaun Livingston.

Looks like you were right.

Just heard on ESPN that 5,000 were sold in the first 24 hours.

If it was 50, I'd say Lavar paid for them himself.

5,000....na.

5,000 is pretty impressive. I've got to hand it to Ball (although we've got no clue if he's even made a profit because we don't know his costs and what the production agreement details about the total number to be produced, etc.) As much of an ass as he is, part of me hopes that he's blazing a trail for amateur athletes to make some money off themselves -- but honestly, the moment that tons of players start monetizing their names, the NCAA is going to have a major issue with it. (And I know I keep beating a dead horse about the NCAA eventually cracking down on this type of stuff, but I just don't see how they let this slide going forward.)

...wait, wait...

No refunds or exchanges and they ship......

Thanksgiving......lol

This Motherfucker running a ponzi scheme.

Pay me, then I'll roll to China and get em made for $9.00

All bullshit aside, when I was in the Navy, I was in Pusan Korea for a week.

I took a picture that I tore out of a magazine to the garment district, the little lady traced my foot on a piece of paper and made me 3 pairs of Jordan's for $50.00!!!!

Dude is collecting the money to fund the manufacturing.

I don't have a problem with that.

My problem is, I can't try them shits on first and can't exchange them?

I was about 120 lbs when I went there and had to buy 2x male tshirts.

My women size 8 shoe in the USA was a size 9 men in Korea.
