The Aldon Sack record watch

In recent memory has there been less national attention on someone chasing the sack record? Every time I see the talking heads on ESPN or NFL Network all they talk about is Watt or Von Miller. Not taking anything away from either of those guys but Aldon is 3.5 sacks away from 23!

He isn't mentioned in the Defensive MVP talk. Just like last year when he was chasing the rookie record all the talk for Rookie of the Year was for Von. Does the national media not like Aldon? Is he a difficult interview? I think this chase should get more attention.

Just a guess, but it is probably because they feel he is only getting so many sacks as a result of what Justin Smith is doing. Which I have to say is total bullshit because when they gave it to Suggs last year they didn't view what Ngata does as a negative on Suggs.

True or the fact that Suggs played almost exclusively DE last year and had no pass coverage responsibility. And Aldon has been using that bullrush pretty effective lately and J Smith has nothing to do with that. But this might be for the best since I remember Aldon saying he feels like he is an underdog. Maybe this will motivate him more.
