Now that was a beatdown tonight against Georgia Tech. Really hope that they can put that much of a beating or worse on the Hokies Sunday in Blacksburg!
UVA now with a 24% chance to go undefeated according to ESPN's BPI. That's actually quite stunning considering how tough their schedule is the rest of the way. 3 road games against top 50 RPI teams, and 5 total games against the RPI top 50. 7 total against the RPI top 100. Says alot about how good this UVA team really is. Last night's performance did nothing to change my opinion of them.

So that means they have a 76% chance of being beaten in the ACC. I tell you what. I'll take the 76% and say they will lose at least once. I'll bet that in Vegas every single day of the week.

But what does games against RPI top 50 really mean? That they play games against teams who have good resumes, and nothing more.
UVA is insane. But what does games against RPI top 50 really mean? That they play games against teams who have good resumes, and nothing more.
I think @ND might end up being their most impressive win in the ACC. They will beat Duke down at home. Louisville just isn't very good. Notre Dame is a lot closer to Duke for the 3rd best team in the ACC than I ever thought they would be, and winning @ ND is one of the toughest road wins in the country. I guess UNC is playing well too, but.....ewwww. No chance they can handle such a disciplined defense.
I'm scared we might end up with UVA vs. Kentucky final. There might end up being < 40 points scored total in the national championship game.
an example of why i say this is VCU's rpi is 4. RPI means literally nothing unless you are comparing two seemingly even tournament or bubble teams
Yes, VCU has an RPI of 4. Are they the 4th best team in the country, probably not. There are other metrics that could be put into question as well. Ken Pom has Florida at #42, which of course I don't believe they are. IMO the RPI is still a great way to measure the quality of teams.
is up with Va Tech today?
We have very quickly gone from a typical slow UVA game at 24-13 to a high paced Valo Tech run to make it 26-25.
