WATCH: It looks like Duke's Grayson Allen may have tried to trip yet another player
You all be the judge. Peace.
That's pretty clear. That was Draymond Green-esque.

I'm not defending Allen or Coach K. But what I'm hearing the fact that Duke is held to a higher standard than everyone else. Montrezl Harrell punched another player and served a ONE GAME suspension. That precedent was set. If tripping a guy is worse, then fine. But two of those acts happened LAST SEASON. Not here and now. Sorry, but there aren't any carry overs I've ever heard of, ever.
I've seen it. It's pretty weak IMHO. All eyes and heavy scrutiny will remain on every movement he makes and this is the way it will be from now until he is off the team or dies.
You've seriously gotta be shitting me. He's clearly not trying to regain his balance, so what would you assume he's doing there?
It's second nature for him. He literally is incapable of stopping. It's hilarious that you're blinded to this.
Where's the outrage on this play?

Again, I am not even sure if you're serious with this. Was there some sort of unnatural movement by the BC player? I didn't see any.
How are you going to compare clear incidental contact with THREE (and a half) blatant attempts to trip opponents?
This is ridiculous argument you are making, considering that he was never punished for intentionally tripping two players last year. Coach K should have punished the kid last year, but he didn't. Why? Your there is no carry over rule argument is absolutely weak. May have hold some weight if he was actually punished last year for his actions.
No one is trying to hold Duke to a higher standard than anyone else, we just want to see a player who continues to intentionally trip other players punished. 1 game doesn't cut it. Sorry.
I have never ever heard of a suspension that included discretions from a season before. In the history of the NCAA that has never happened. Can you name one instance that as happened? Please tell me when and to whom.
Since Coach K didn't discipline Allen last year when it came to these tripping incidents, that means the first two incidents should be forgotten when he actually makes an attempt (albeit, a very poor one) at disciplining him a year later?
Got it. Try to do better.
Holy shit if you think this was him trying to trip someone you are a fucking moron or so biased by hatred do Duke you can't see straight. You've seriously gotta be shitting me. He's clearly not trying to regain his balance, so what would you assume he's doing there?

I'm not trying to defend Allen's guilt from a year ago. Clearly he is paying for it in the press and public opinion. More so than any punishment Coach K could strip from him or by benching him. No matter how much he would or could have ever sat out, it wouldn't be enough to change that or satisfy the hate for him and Duke.
What I am saying is that the precedent was set well before Allen ever made a poor decision to trip an opponent. Clearly you could not find another time when a player was punished for anything that happened a season before. Neither could I.
Not that I'm rooting for Duke or anything because I'd certainly never do that, it is a shame we haven't seen them at full strength this year. Jefferson is a big piece missing for that game now.
