The Fluery pick makes no sense because even if you are thinking he's a vet who can hold us together for a year or two thats bullshit, give someone who has a chance to be part of the future a chance to grow with his teammates...

I agree It's been talked about for weeks but makes no sense at all. Like you said you have two young goalies that should be the future. Get them experience and let them gel. The pens had some quality forwards unprotected. That would have made a lot more sense. Pittsburgh did give up a 2020 pick but not enough to justify the Fluery pick imo. They could have filled the third goalie slot with another young goalie. And upped their chance for future success. Then again you know how I feel about hockey in Vegas. I would rather seen an expansion team north. Be it Canada or someplace like Wisconsin or the Pacific Northwest

My team is fine.

On another note, the Indians got back to winning. Wish they could have went on a really long winning streak like last year but there is time

It only makes sense if they plan to hold onto him until closer to the trade deadline and get picks for him from a team that is a contender, but needs a goalie.

Even then this makes no sense though, this is a HUGE help to the Penguins. Why not at least leak that you are taking Rust? it would almost be a guarantee that Pitt would offer some form of picks to get you to take MAF.

Typically a team is not really a "contender" if they need to trade for a goalie at the deadline. Unless of course there are injuries...

I find myself in a fan conundrum here. I have never at any point switched the teams I cheer for, however this is the first year it has crossed my mind. I was an Avs fan by proximity while going to college, but I hate the entire fucking state of Colorado. It is a shit hole and leaving that state is the #1 thing in my life that improved it for the better.

So now I have a hockey team within driving distance that has no history, is this an acceptable scenario for switching teams? Even if it makes me an asshole fan I am doing it, I am just not sure if it makes me a shitty fan or not.
