What the hell is going on? No Rui, No Reaves, Lebron banged up but playing, and the Lakers STILL get the win over a good Clippers team and are now the 2 seed. The ceiling appears to be getting higher and higher

As a Mavs fan, I concur. Never rooted for the Lakers in my entire life, but I do now. They have my favorite player. Sucks because my favorite player used to play for my favorite team. It was always going to work out for the Lakers though. Luka is still recovering from a nagging injury. He will be back to being Luka by the playoffs which gives the Lakers a shot at the Finals

It has nothing to do with win or lose. Cavs could very well win this game. Almost 60 FT’s combined. The game has been officiated poorly, plain and simple. I continue to call out shit crews. I called out crews in a Cavs blowout too

Enjoy it

Some games are worse than others. I tend to bitch when it is egregiously one sided.

Additionally the poor consistency in college is a REAL problem as crew to crew there is a totally different cadence and emphasis

I told you guys he’s fine as a backup

Needed a c at the deadline but pelinka was smart af

Agreed lol. That center will come this summer via trade, no need to rush a bad decision at the deadline.

Correct Q. The Center that perhaps they should have went after and was available but Pelinka did nothing was probably Nick Richards. The better course of action was what evetually transpired and that was to wait to get the guy they really want and that would be Utah's Kessler or if he isn't available, somebody in the draft.

Lakers don't have a 1st rounder this summer.

I think Claxton may be their target, defender and lob threat. Apparently, they tried for Duren before the Williams deal, but the Pistons weren't interested. Don't know if that's something that could be revisited this summer, as the Pistons have no need to move him IMO.

As much as I want the Lakers to improve their seeding they may be better off as the 3rd or 4th seed. To avoid playing GS or Dallas in the 1st round if Dallas or GS come out of the play-in. Not saying they cannot beat either team but that series could weaken them moving forward. More confident in them facing Houston or LAC.

Just keep winning. Worrying about seeding with 23 games left is putting the cart before the horse.

Kyrie will be 34 at the time of his next contract. Jimmy butler just got 55 plus mil annually at age 35.

Kyrie would be stupid to opt in to that contract next summer

Sure, but who can give him that money? It's just going to end up the Mavs anyway. If he opts in, maybe he can actually move in summer 2026 (if that's his desire). How many current Mavs are thinking exit options after the Luka trade?

I suppose he could do a Lebron-style deal to keep his options open, perennial 1+1s.
