The point of the cap is to make it hard for teams to pay everyone forever...too many exceptions and might as well not have a cap.
I mean, this would just make it more like it used to be with the cap/CBA and not so detrimental to go over as long as doing so under certain parameters.

The Warriors dynasty broke the league lol. Now dynasties are outlawed.

Ha....but they did it by bringing in a max FA from outside. All fairness not their fault as just timed perfectly where there was a cap explosion and their guys still a bit underpaid.

I think it could be league-changing...get a 10% discount for a guy you draft and develop. That is enough to encourage teams' to really build through the draft.

Yep, there will still be those that would leave for the "bright lights" of the "destination cities"...but maybe they wait until a little later in their careers...especially if the team is a potential contender.

A lot of stars aligned in a very lucky way for that team to come together

Thought this was Centel lmfao

If you have to take a break from doing a pod to do the job you are paid extraordinarily well to perform (or sit out from) you should not have a pod during the season at all.

Yes it would.....don't think he makes it this year but maybe. Down the road? If healthy think he will.

Really a shame we'd lose Jerome with an owner willing to pay but just able to. Likely he likes it here enough to take a little less but think he could get a lot more than we can offer.

and of course your team might have the same concerns but don't know muh about where they are as far as cap and certain guys,

Ty Jerome is really good.

My favorite former UVA player to watch.
