Well, it has to be 3 stars who have complimentary games.

OKC has 3 stars. But they are all young and ascending still.

Kind of liking our 3 stars, too.........I guess what I don't like is the new CBA makes it tough to keep own stars together even though acquired in what I'd consider to be the "right way".

Not that the other way was essentially wrong as was within rules.

Sucks for young teams that built through the draft. Over time it will be very difficult to build around them unless one of the stars takes a paycut

Draymond says the game is boring now. Why bc you aren’t winning? Why complain now, it has been the same game for years now even when GS was winning. It just comes off as a sore loser comment which isn’t surprising. The game has been 3 point oriented since the middle of Steph’s career, yes volume is up but still the same shit.

He's hardly the only person saying the game has become too reliant on the 3 pointer. It wasn't boring at first, it was new. It's not new anymore.

Even the more reasonable posters here have mused about getting rid of the corner 3, for example.

Too many 3s is not the problem.

It is bad to mediocre teams taking too many bad 3s.

That is bad basketball.

Good teams run offense and good high quality looks. If a large percentage of them come from 3?

So be it. Still good basketball and still fun to watch.

Check this out. This season NBA teams are averaging 37.5 3 point attempts per game. In 2014-2015 the first Ws title year it was 22.4, rising basically every year since in a steady progression. It was rising every year before in a steady progression. I don't think his comments are unpopular or out of line here

Like I said, 3’s have been up for years. Kinda the point I am making, for him his team isn’t winning and he never experienced that for most of his career. 3’s is far from the only problem. It’s just funny he says that and it’s his teams’ style for awhile now

Sure 10 years ago. The 10 years before the game changed and the 10 before. 5 years ago, the W’s were winning and no comments. There are many issues with the league and I see changes coming eventually but I don’t think we can blame all the issues on the 3 ball

He's correctly noting how the 3 pointer has become far more prevalent over his career, and like many fans it's starting to become boring for him. It's interesting to note that this year has been a huge increase, 2020-2025 it barely rose at all.

2024-2025- 3rd at 42.5 attempts
2023-2024- 4th at 38.9 attempts
2022-2023-1st at 43.2 attempts

The heck are you talking about over those 5 years it went from 34.1 to 35.1 (did you see the link?). Then it jumped to 37.5 this year. 2019 to 2020 it jumped from 32.0 to 34.1
