This trade could work well for Dallas for a year or two but it's going to work out great for the Lakers for a decade. For the Mavs, they can run out Kyrie, Klay, PJ Washington, AD and Dereck Lively. Thats nice. But still, phenomenal deal for the Lakers. Wow

Now they have a GIANT hope for the future.

Landing a 25 yo top 3 NBA player is an unequivocal win for them.

That is a fair assessment.

Let’s wait until he extends in 2026 before calling it a huge win though.

I’m grading it incomplete until I see what else they do. If the Lakers botch that part and Luka leaves, then it isn’t a win.
