Just a game of runs really. Cavs jump out to a lead, Lakers get it back close. Over and over, with the Cavs getting the final run. Lakers just gave up too many wide open threes without hitting their own. Cavs were the better team tonight. Didn't expect a Lakers win tonight, but they had their chances and couldn't get enough stops. Cavs do so well scoring off their opponents misses/TOs.

Saying this since LeBron spent time in Cleveland and we talked a lot about what he needed to win. But you would think by year seven, Rob Pelinka would know what works best

if you did not expect a Lakers win tonight- when the Lakers were waiting for the Cavs- coming off a back to back from GSW - not sure when it would happen.

Darius Garland was fantastic in that game. He did not shoot that well, but he was constantly breaking down the defense and beating guys off the dribble, penetrating and finding a guy. He looks amazing.

I cannot believe that someone on here was suggesting/referencing possible trades for Garland based around Hachimura, lol.

Garland is going to make another All-Star team coming up very soon.

Allen played a great game too. Solid D, efficient, finishing at the rim and just overall so solid.

I do not even think the Cavs played that well in that game- and missing Okoro as a wing defender was not ideal.

Having said all that- looking at the Cavs schedule- they have had a pretty damn easy schedule thus far.

My goal for the team during the hot start was 2nd seed and ECF....I still think that is realistic though the one-seed is certainly possible if they can have some health and deal with the schedule which is going to get more difficult.

I just don’t think they have the assets. I thought DFS was a great fit for them but he won’t be the scorer DLo was for him. I wonder if they start DFS eventually. Few assets and Pelinka doesn’t want to give up 1st’s.

So you have GM that doesn’t want to trade picks and Lebron might play for a couple more years. I get nothing is certain but at some point, the picks need to be included to bring back a legit player.

I don’t think it is crazy as of right now they lost the Towns trade. I know a lot of fans thought he was a bonehead but he was also a unicorn

Detroit was one of the best teams in the East at that time (they had Houston's pick at #2).
