Adrian Griffin is the happiest man in america

The bucks were always a collapse risk this year

They were my last team out for my under pick

They just lost too much defense and drafted a ton of defenders who can’t shoot to try and replace them

They should burn it to the ground

Embiid is not there mentally and physically. At this point, he doesn’t need to listen to the outside noise and focus on himself and team. Seems impossible at this point
and why it's crazy to think guys like Allen and Mobley are soft. Not comparing on court skill here at all, but I'm fine they seem to not care what others think, seem to not care much about what is said on social media and are just kind of quiet guys and not fake toughguys.

The Holiday trade was the beginning of the end but I think regardless, like you said, assets were limited and Middleton aging and injury-prone hurt everything as well

Just watching this team- I think Mobley can keep improving but I just do not see how he becomes a 20 or so point scorer a game. There are too many good scorers on this team.

Garland looks like he is back and can shoot the lights out. Mitchell is one of the best scorers in the game. Allen gets his share of put backs and shots. Strus/Merrill and even Okoro can shoot the 3 now. Freaking LeVert off the bench seems to have big games every once in a while and is a good scorer.

If Mobley had 20 shots a night and was on a bad team- I know he would score a lot of points- but on this team the pecking order is Mitchell #1 (which it should be)- then a lot of other guys.
Exactly.....put him on, say, Toronto instead of Barnes? OK, he's likely a 20-10 guy (maybe even better) AND his elite D might even lead them to more wins that they may not want.

With Embiid's issues- its hard to say what is going to happen with the Sixers - even with PG, Maxey, etc...

their are just so many good teams in the East. The Bucks are gonna be fine- Lillard and Giannis are still amazing. The Celtics are obviously the champs and the favorite. The Knicks have really built a roster that on paper could compete with anyone with Brunson, Towns, Bridges, OG, Hart- that is a pretty insane starting 5. The SouthEast division is not as good as the Central or Atlantic- but Orlando is very good and Miami is still solid.

it seems the "super team" era ended a couple years ago-- once Cleveland and more recently GSW faltered- the path to the Finals really opened up.

I still think the Celtics are pretty solid favorites in the East- but there are like 6 teams in the West I think are pretty even and could make the Finals -- OKC looks really good but I gotta say you have to make it out of the conference semi's before you can be a favorite- Mavs gave it to them last year. Any of the Mavs, Nuggets, Thunder, Lakers, Suns, Twolves- even Kings and GSW - I dont see any of those teams being that much better than any other.
I think NY will be OK, too....though maybe not as good as some thought. Did they make too many deals for what seemed like name players, though, and not care about fit? They seemed more scary with Hartenstein (realize he's a FA loss) and the players used to acquire Towns.

Bucks may have made a similar trade dealing Jrue for Dame.

Yeah

That trade needed to be middleton

Wouldn’t have mattered last year when dame and Gianni’s were hurt

But you also don’t help the Celtics

Should be able to beat the Wiz. Those other 3 on the road will be tough. Cavs are bound to drop one sooner or later- almost did tonight.

My Cavs look pretty confident and balanced thus far. I like that they put Wade in the lineup for defense when Strus got hurt in the preseason. LeVert off the bench has been pretty good too. Okoro good for defense off the bench.

Biggest difference to the end of last year is easily the coaching- the offense looks a lot better- not too mention Mitchell looks healthy and Garland looks healthy and is out of his funk from last year.

Will be an interesting season.

This core kind of came together 2 years ago- and has a chance to be together for at least 3-4 more years. Barring a major trade it will be kind of wild to see such stability on an NBA team. It is kind of rare
I do like atkinson but cannot believe so many have made him out to be some coaching guru and JB trash (not saying you did).

Biggest difference from end of last year is Mitchell and Allen are healthy.

Smart and Holiday were two ridiculous deals for Boston. Send care packages to MIL and SA

Mobley seems to have a bit of an attitude like AD has had until this year when Redick made him the focus on offense...he'll get you 20+ if you need him to...but if the other guys are scoring...he's perfectly happy to play defense and get rebounds. That's actually a great attribute, imo.
very true....will say when the guy just takes it strong to hoop almost seems unguardable. Has trouble when he slow dribbles.

Wasn’t an option for them though

They also found both him and DDV off the scrap heap

The problem right now is they for some reason value guys like precious achiewa

Need to turn his salary into a c and a wing

Should have just minded their business and let Miami get dame. The nba world is a better place had they done that

They still need middleton and needed to find another way to create offense off the bounce

Which is what they lacked and why they made the trade
