So now that Denver is cleaning house, could they trade Jokic to the Lakers for Knecht and a 1st round pick?


All jokes aside, this is a pretty classless thing for a team to do. Malone won you a championship. He's the best coach that franchise has had. You could wait until you're eliminated in the playoff to do this. Honestly, with how crazy the West is, Nuggets could conceivably get to the Finals if Murray gets healthy. It's insane to do this right now

Only thing I can come up with is not if a non playoff team wants him (and he wants to go there) he can agree to a deal right after season ends....did him a solid if were firing him regardless.

They fired their GM too though. This looks like the owners just don't like what's going on pulled the plug now instead of having some patience to wait another month

Malone wasn't the problem.

The problem was ownership telling the GM to break up that title team up.

I don't get why the Nuggets ownership fired their head coach Mike Malone and their GM this late in the season.
It's not like they've been eliminated from post season play......they're currently the 4th seed in the WC...and battling through some player injuries.
Must be something personal between the individuals involved or an allegation or incidents involving them.
Just seems a bit strange and somewhat unnecessary....maybe even capricious and arbitrary.
