The Thunder don’t want to limp into the playoffs, I really wasn’t trying to minimize anything.

I know. I get what you're saying.

You actually kind of predicted this the other day when you said something along the lines of...if the game stays close, the Thunder will go for the win. If it doesn't, they're not going to burn a bunch of energy trying to come back.

I expect they'll be better in the next game because they'll want to atone for this and as @bksballer89 said, they won't want to give the Lakers confidence going into the playoffs.

Yeah I dont think they took their foot off the pedal. Losses like this might be the wake up call they needed. Better to happen in the final week of the regular season instead of game 1 of round 2

Win on Tuesday and this one means nothing. Lose and the Lakers confidence for a possible playoffs series will be through the roof

The west is up in the air 3-8. Beating the lakers on Tuesday makes it more likely they end up 4 or 5

Did it get to 14 because the Rockets went on a late run to take it from 6 points to 14? If that's the case, then no.

Were the Rockets up by 20+ most of the game and the Thunder made a late run to get it down to 14? If that's the case, then yes.

At least you are asking the right questions and not making an assumption. From late 3rd to late enough in the 4th, the margin was between 9-14ish so wasn’t a blowout or close game. It was whatever you want to call the middle of both. Being down 9 with the ball in the 4th is close enough imo

It also helps to watch the games or at least look at the game log so you don’t look too silly. Final score doesn’t always tell the entire story. For example okc most recent game vs Memphis ended up as a 21 point win. That game was a 2 pt margin entering the 4th and was tied with 7 to go but if you just looked at the final score you would assume okc had it easy

Don't care if it was important to the Thunder at all. That was a fun, relaxing Sunday watch.

The Lakers set a First Quarter record for threes made. They played very well on Offense and decent team Defense. Alot of that success on Offense was due to the Thinder not playing much Defense and not really have much to play for at least in this game.

Just alot of fun for the Lakers and it was fun to watch. We shall see how this continues on Tuesday.
