You're proving my point. Jokic is considered the best player in the world right now. Luka is considered the best young player. Neither are tremendous athletes, but they are still better players than the folks that are. You think if you dropped KAJ or MJ in this era, with their drive to win, that they wouldn't have taken those advantages and been that much better? Thanks again

No.

They would be great no doubt.

But the rules of the game today create the greatest advantages for the players with elite skill level. The rules of Jordan’s era created the greatest advantage for elite athletes.

Not saying Jordan wouldn’t be great in any era. Of course he would. But he played in the perfect era to showcase his skill set.

The exact same is true for Jokic and Luka.

I actually believe LeBron’s skill set would have played better in Jordan’s era. Would he have been able to amass an equal or better resume? That would be tough to argue simply because Jordan’s resume is so amazing.

But We will never know.

You could say that, but it was a HORRIBLY bad turnover by Lebron. Don't know what he was looking at. He had another similar brainfart on a kickout to a corner shooter that was clearly covered earlier in the 4th.
Didn't really notice...did he do what he usually does and stare down a teammate like the TO was the teammate's fault?

I know this isn’t about him but Is there an era Shai’s game doesn’t translate to? I’m not seeing it.

No one that has the mvp wrapped up is going to do anything to create any bad press at the moment, but sure it doesn’t matter what I think. Mcafee is a jackoff, literally nothing more. Wears muscle shirts like he is badass, you were a fn punter dude.
you - said you lose respect for anyone who goes on McAfee's show
SGA - went on his show.

This is remedial level logic to find the conclusion here.

Stephen A basically told him (as a father lol) to "stop the Bronny nonsense", which is ludicrous. Then he came out and said if Lebron laid hands on him, he was ready to throw hands because he does boxing workouts. He's a cartoon and a professional troll.

Many of us on here have said the same thing re: Bronny. Screamin' A just said it on tv.

As for the throwing hands nonsense...Screamin' A stopped being a reporter a long time ago. He's an entertainer now. He knows what would happen to him if he tried to fight Lebron....but as an entertainer, he's not going to admit it.

As you say

I honestly don’t see how an objective person can come away with any different conclusion.

Really hard to be great in the 90s without being an elite athlete because of the clutching, grabbing, hand checking etc.

Today players have freedom of movement on the perimeter. current rules allow defenses to load up on the post and shooters provide more space than ever for skilled perimeter players who can both drive and shoot 3s at a high level.

It is the perfect environment for less athletic players like Luka or Bird.

Jordan would absolutely be great today. But the game rules do not match up perfectly with his greatest strengths.

Lord God...Jordan would have been one of the best three point shooters in the game if he played in this era because he would have put in the time working on it. It's hard talking basketball with someone who thinks the game began in 2010

Yeah sorry I guess I’m a liar then. I certainly don’t put a guy going on a show to talk about an award he is going to win in the same category as crazy ass Aaron Rodgers being paid to go on that douchbags show. I havent seen the clips though, if Shai participated in any bullshit I’ll call him out, just how I am. I don’t see any bullshit coming from this guy though.

More difficult is someone like yourself who is irrational with an agenda.

No, I don’t believe there is. He does too many things well.
He would have gotten beat on a lot more back in the day, but who knows how much better that may have made him?

As i reflect on this my real criticism of MJ is that he does a poor job being an ambassador to the game because he views it as it impacting his greatness. So many people would listen to him if he actively promoted the game. It is exhausting constantly hearing about how MJ would do today.

Who fucking cares? What does it do for the NBA? Literally fucking nothing.

And he just stands there and lets his Stans capsize fandom of the sport because he wants people to continue to obsess over him 25 years later.

Lets move on people. Its fun for debate in the right place and time but it drags down the league.

Not sure I’m seeing anyone that can knock the Warriors or the Twolves out of the 8 seed in the play in.
