...and the haters would find fault with him if he didn't answer questions as much as if he answers them in a way they don't like.

You only comment on Lebron when you don't like something. That is hating 101.
Nah, you're a ball washer man. I've said all thousand times LBJ is the second best player ever.

Love Bron but yeah.....I would take MJ and Kobe over Bron with the ball in their hands with the game on the line.
Not sure why Kobe since Lebron has been much better in those situations. Thought last time I saw it he was a little better than MJ.

Your example of modern training/medicine/nutrition is Jokic of all people? Jokic's advantages are because of his mental game (Luka too). He's a far worse physical specimen than any of the guys you named. IMO, he's prime Arvidas Sabonis in the modern era, which we didn't see in the NBA.
You're proving my point. Jokic is considered the best player in the world right now. Luka is considered the best young player. Neither are tremendous athletes, but they are still better players than the folks that are. You think if you dropped KAJ or MJ in this era, with their drive to win, that they wouldn't have taken those advantages and been that much better? Thanks again

Obvious? Very much a matter of opinion. But at the minimum you can acknowledge there is a level boost simply because of the above.

Guys like Mad Dog saying Maurice Lucas would intimidate Giannis?

Clown shit.
Of course not. But Giannis wouldn't have been Giannis if his ass could be put on the ground every time he went to the basket and while he was lying on the floor crying for a flagrant 2, the ref just says "ball out on the side"

Meh, I tend to agree with @Stakesarehigh I think one of the reasons a lot of folks don't like Lebron is that he has too many instances where he says stuff he really shouldn't.

Like that clip where he watches a highlight of himself and says "That's when I knew I was the best to ever do it". It's not up to him to tell everyone else that he's the GOAT, it's up to everyone else to tell him.

As far as Windy...just another instance of Lebron saying something unnecessary. So what if Windy has fashioned himself a career being the "Lebron whisperer"...he's almost always complimentary, is among the first reporters to defend him when he's criticized and isn't taking any money out of Lebron's pocket.

If it bothers him, he could have one of the guys close to him post that on social media.

I don't think he feels any need to filter his opinions at this stage, I don't see the need either. Other than speaking out against his franchise and the league (which he doesn't do) of course.

Stephen A basically told him (as a father lol) to "stop the Bronny nonsense", which is ludicrous. Then he came out and said if Lebron laid hands on him, he was ready to throw hands because he does boxing workouts. He's a cartoon and a professional troll.

I get that someone considering themself as a Lebron expert would get on your nerves over 40 years. Windy acts like he has a personal relationship there, and Lebron set that straight.

Oh boy.

They play the game by the way the rules are written. We seem to understand this concept in football given it would be completely insane to have guys the size they are today play like they did in the 70s.

Do you show up on this thread and talk Lebron when he has a great game? No, you show up when he essentially throws a game away.

Athleticism doesnt translate to the best basketball players.

Especially in the 90s when it was a more half court game.

More contract was allowed in some previous eras, but not all. The exaggeration that outright knocking guys to the ground was allowed is simply wrong. You may not get a flagrant or tech, but flagrants weren't introduced until 80-81.

There's a whole term established for the ref's favorable treatment of MJ, the Jordan rules. Constant trips to the line, allowed to get very handsy defensively.

There wasn’t even an ounce of an exaggeration in my comment

What are you 25 years old?

You have no idea of how a real coach teaches and stresses not only the fundamentals of the game but how to beat the best by playin both ends of the court!

Take your floppin strategy somewhere else

I’m 46

I played for a Bobby Knight disciple in high school. He was a terrible coach. We spent more time running sprints than we did actually practicing.

I know how to teach the game. I know what works and more importantly, I know what doesn’t.

There is a reason NOBODY coaches like your beloved old coach anymore. If it were effective, people would still coach that way.

It worked for some back when everyone else was some type of derivative of the same tired BS.

Good coaches absolutely hold players accountable. But they do it in a respectful way and foster an actual partnership. That 100% proven to be the most effective form of leadership.

and you lost respect for him, correct?
No one that has the mvp wrapped up is going to do anything to create any bad press at the moment, but sure it doesn’t matter what I think. Mcafee is a jackoff, literally nothing more. Wears muscle shirts like he is badass, you were a fn punter dude.

KAJ and MJ did not lack for athleticism or longevity. They weren't going to be drastically different in the modern era, and of course they would still be great, they are in the GOAT conversation to this day.

The real discussion with former stars translating would be the quality of some of the teams in the earlier days. You can't build a team like the 60's Celtics in the modern era without tripling the salary cap.
