The whole idea of that play being a flagrant foul is absolutely ridiculous.

Flagrant fouls should be reserved for non-basketball plays and dirty plays with some level of recklessness or intent.

That is not what this was. Bigger slower guy trying to contest a shot, gets out of position and gets in shooters landing space. It is a foul. Not a dirty play.

Greetings from down under degenerates. Start the long journey back in a couple days. I see the Thunder are keeping it going. Let’s see if Dallas can regroup and make the playoffs.

Dallas has a much easier schedule than Phoenix so they should be able to make the play-in.

Blame Zaza. If he didn’t do what he did to Kawhi which actually did seem intentional then these type of plays would never be considered a flagrant/reckless close out

Clumsy oaf trying to contest a shot on a far superior athlete.

I felt like when I watched replays zaza took an intentional and unnecessary step but then again that was a slow motion replay so you may be right. I do think they should do a better job of determining which one is a true reckless close out and which isn’t. Not everytime a shooters lands on the defender foot is a reckless close out but they won’t be changing this unfortunately

They also don’t consider some guys jump forward when shooting. Sunday night I was watching the Heat game and Wiggins got “fouled “ on a 3 pt shot which Charlotte challenged. Wiggins feet were inside the 3 pt line at the end of his shot lol

The tough thing with Steph is I dont think he has anywhere near the legacy he has if he didn't fall into a tailor made situation. He changed the game, but the team around him allowed him to be who he is.

Yea, the Lakers played little Defense and got beat again by another dogshit team. Something is def amiss.

Dogshit is an overstatement, but the Lakers really aren't meshing well with everyone back. The stats point to Lebron's defense. Did he forget all that buy in that was working for him defensively, or are these just terrible matchups? He was fine offensively last night, but still the worst +/-. Turnovers were under control, but the 3 point shooting for everyone other than Luka was subpar.
