It took Ausar Thompson almost 9 month to be cleared to play again with his blood clot issues.
Koloko lost a season to blood clot issues too.

You do realize that in the majority of cases where players miss games due to rest…
It is the team making the decision. Not the player.
If Bird were playing today, his organization would 100% use rest days to help him extend his career.
And there is a decent chance that between the 3 point usage and load management he would have been even better today.
He's not appealing.
His lack of over the top athleticism wouldn't be an issue either in a league where Jokic and Luka are all-NBA players and MVP candidates. I think he would be almost the midpoint between Luka and Jokic.
...or AD's. This latest injury will keep him from 65 games played.Nope, could have possibly been Chet’s year if not for the injury.
If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle
Just anyone but Rudy please.
Give it to a wing player since all the bigs aren’t eligible.
LOLNot your type, lol?
Guess Mobley could have a shot, but be nice to see a wing get his due.....but if it gets Mobley closer to supermax I hope he does not win. Don't think DPOY helps in that regard, though.Just anyone but Rudy please.

correct....and why Bird's team if they knew then what we know now would have rested Bird more. But he is not
Completely different philosophy today
Today the player is rested by the team because the player isn’t a player anymore.
They are an investment
