I never said they were a dynasty already though I just said they might be one emerging. Again, why the tears?

Everyone talking about the Warriors being desperate, seems to me they took advantage of a very motivated seller and upgraded for the end of Steph’s career without giving up a lot
That’s the thing about guys that are known malcontents, , you never know what will set them off.

Worth the risk, nothing to lose and not expected to win here with Steph

Mark Williams has played in just 85 games and he's in his 3rd season?

I guess we dodged a bullet there. Didn't realize he had missed that many games.

Rotate Hachimura, Hayes, and DFS at C in a small ball lineup.

Or go see who is on the buyout market. Knew we were likely a 1st round exit before we start trading guys in the summer.

Williams deal was good if he was healthy.

But it would have been a big risk for multiple reasons.

Now the Lakers have all their assets back to reform the roster around Luka in the offseason.

But I graded the Luka deal incomplete when they finalized it.

Pelinka has a lot of work to do to ensure Luka is a Laker in 2027

I agree but we can dangle Reaves and he is a nice asset....he is growing as a player. They could trade Reaves, Hach and that first and get a C plus some depth for the bench

To be fair, the first 2 were kind of understandable considering the organizations were pretty dysfunctional.

The Heat are as well run as any organization out there...I think most figured he wouldn't have problems there.

But he did and that now calls into question how much of the previous issues were him instead of the team.

At bare minimum, Lakers will waive someone (Wood?) and convert Koloko to the 15 man roster. Maybe they find someone else in the buyout market? If they try to waive and add two players, they will have to be very young players with 2 or less years in the league to get their pro-rated salaries under the 2nd apron. They could fit Koloko and Jemison if they decide to.
Waive Reddish.

Wood can play C and shoot from 3. He helps us at C if we go by committee.

Crazy Shai stat. Coming into this season the top 5 fg percentages on 2 pt shots by a guard scoring at least 20 pts per game were :

Dwayne Wade - 55.7 %
James Harden 55.7 %
Michael Jordan - 55.3 %
Jerry West 51.4 %
Kobe Bryant - 51.0 %

Shai is making an insane 60.1 % of his 2 pt shots. So if he gets in the lane he is scoring, and he can’t be stopped from getting in the lane.

The 60.1 number is on par with the best numbers put up by great centers like Kareem and Shaq and is better than anything Embiid has ever done. Also, he is ahead of Giannis in inside the arc efficiency and ahead of Jokic in inside the paint efficiency.

No wonder he is the clear MVP.

No one has to run that guys fan club, just putting into historical context the crazy season he is having. Isn’t that what we do here, talk about basketball?
