The thing is that AR is not going to be an ideal fit. He just can’t be.

And he will also return a lot more in trade than Hachimura

They might be better off bringing Reaves off the bench. The Lakers bench scoring has been pretty weak all season. Between him coming off the bench and staggering Lebron and Luka, they could have 2 high level playmakers on the court at all times.

That is what I was thinking when the trade happened and I was texting with my friend.

AR off the bench with the 2nd unit would help improve our bench. A lot.

People always forget about Marc Gasol.

Most people either forget, or don't realize that he was part of that trade. At the time, he was still playing in Spain and no one knew if he was even interested in coming to the NBA. The Lakers were holding his rights just in case.

Looking at it on the day it happened, it looked like a horribly lopsided trade...but Marc coming to the NBA ended up making it pretty good after all.

I don’t look at it like that. I look at it as a possible 80 cents if AD can stay healthy…if not, it could qualify as the worst ever…not initially but over time. I agree, not worst ever at acquistion
