Incorporating the reserves with the starters... Yeah, that's kind of on the head coach. Not sure exactly what you were taught.

LOL.

It does not matter how many points bench players score.

On a top heavy team like the Nuggets where 3-4 guys do like 80% of them scoring, you stagger minutes for the starters and make sure you always have some scoring punch on the court.

Makes no difference whatsoever that scoring punch comes from guys who started or guys who didn’t. Just need the lineup as a whole to be balanced enough to get a few buckets.

You have a lot to learn.

Guess I can’t blame Malone for tonight’s loss…

Nuggets a respectable 27-24 in bench points.

You also do realize that you are praising Malone tonight after blasting him a couple days ago and the Nuggets bench scored 3 more points than they did when you blasted them.

The Nuggets aren’t built to get a lot of bench scoring. Neither are the Knicks.

That isn’t a bad thing as long as the coach isn’t resting all 5 starters at the same time, or, as was the case Wednesday, inexplicably benching the best player in the league for most of the first half.

Just because bench scoring was close does not mean Malone did a good job managing his rotations tonight.

Another day another win.

How are the Lakers doing?
It appears that they are 26-19 to Philla's 19-27. Also currently in the playoffs, not bragging from the 11 spot in a weak East.
Also 6-4 in the last 10 as opposed to 4-6.

I'm sure you'll get a chance to settle this when they meet in the finals :noidea:

you believe what you want to believe

When the season is over, they want nothing to do with the game, they travel , party there asses off , make appearances, commercials… if they train, it’s basic shit.

That must be how Lebron racks up that huge bill for his physical fitness, basic shit.

my opinion is most players want nothing to do with the game after season ends

I did not say ALL players
.
Let me ask you a question..

Why is it that we all know about Jerry Rices work ethic?

Chris Paul, Dray, Dillon and many others say hold my beer...

None of them are even close to him. The guy does something similar to this weekly. It just doesn’t get the attention because he is a basic ass player on a team the national media don’t pay attention to.

I did not watch the game.

But what Mike Malone did tonight (and many coaches do this) is just incredibly stupid.

Jokic picked up 2 fouls 2 minutes into the game.

Malone left him on the bench until 4.5 minutes left in the first half.

Just so dumb. One of the long time coaching strategies that just prevents your guy from impacting the game.

2 fouls? So what.

You got 46 minutes to avoid picking up 4 more. Trust your player to be smart and keep him in.
This has never made any sense.

You sit the guy so he does not pick up more fouls and then has to sit?

The bench stats were inflated by having Jokic on the bench unnecessarily. Having him on the bench tanked the starters' stats in several phases. False positive.

Why is it that we all know about Jerry Rices work ethic?

Why do we have more players extending their careers well beyond the previously implied limits in all sports despite already having generational wealth compared to past eras? Medical knowledge, training, and technology.

Simple

MONEY

Why do players today take so much more time to heal from injury?

They already have more money to live comfortably. Players in previous eras worked off-season jobs.

Players don't take longer to heal. They just aren't rushed back too soon as frequently due to better medical care and stronger player unions.
