You think they could realistically win this year? Once they struck out on all those other deals to add over the years, it made this necessary. Butler isn't getting younger and now is your only window to get something for him.

Should have got this out last month when they were playing like ass

what would have been best is another year at USC

Yep. I was saying that back when the speculation that he might declare for the draft first started. Since that didn't happen, lots of playing time in the G-League is the next best option.

He's actually more valuable as salary filler here so I'm sure that's not an issue for either team in a potential trade. With the new CBA with teams over the apron(s), in a lot of deals you have to take back damn near close to equal money. So with Lebron at 48.7 mil and say you got a package put together for 46, Bronny's 1.1 mil deal could put you in range to make the deal go thru

Depends on how you're calculating that value. Bronny has broken his father's record for rookie jersey sales already (500,000 already at approx $100 per). That's a solid team income stream for a #55 overall pick.

That does not sound like he is close to playing.

It's a shame the injury bug keeps getting Kawhi. In his prime he was fun to watch. Been a fan of his since he was at SDSU.

Just watch Jdub continue to develop if you want to see it all over again.

Thats bizarre lol.

But i also agreed he was 100 percent worth the choice for no other reason.

True, but the problem with Bronny is that because of the heart attack that he had and how long the recovery was, he is way behind everyone else who was drafted with him. In his only season at USC, he was out for the first 7 games, then was on a minutes restriction for about half of the games he did play. He definitely has some talent (given the height difference, his hops might be better than Lebrons in his prime), but we've only seen "flashes" because he hasn't had consistent playing time.

I agree that practicing with the big club can be beneficial, but what he really needs is lots of playing time, which is only going to happen in the G-League.

Also…

NBA teams just don’t practice that much. Mostly shoot arounds and walk through during the season.

You want a player to develop, they need game minutes.

Not the same for me. I saw Kawhi play live when SDSU played in Vegas and the MWC tourney.

Understood if you saw him live, but Jdub may end up with the higher top end. Yes that’s a big statement.

I hope he does. That would be good for the league. And of course your Thunder.

I saw an article today where he was responding to some people saying he is a nerd and a geek. I thought it was funny because I called him Erkel his first year lol. Most here probably don’t even know who that is lol.
