Be careful what you wish for. Embiid could get hurt today stubbing his big toe
I hope so. Then the league and their little talking heads will let him sit out peacefully. I hear that toe will make a full recovery by March.

If the Cavs stay mostly healthy you do not want to face them in the 1st round. They're a complete team with a good bench. They can score from all over the court and Allen's been a strong defensive anchor. Then there's Mobley, but you should get the point. Have you seen them play this season? Totally different team from last year.

Careful what you wish for. If it's a Cavs/76ers 1st round the city of cheesesteaks (best sammich out there by the way) would be in trouble.

Embiid can't stay healthy and Playoff P, well he ain't done shit in the playoffs.

GO CELTICS!!!
The Cavs are playing great now in mid November, but chances are they will run out of gas. 1st round is a good spot to catch them.

Make the play offs first. Ya'll are dead last in the league!
If the league would let us get the first pick I'd stay there and give Embiid the whole year off to freshen up for next year with our new rookie.

It's looking like he might be pretty good at basketball. I like that he's not afraid to look for his shot even when he's on the floor with Lebron and AD.
Pretty sure the league threatened the league not to take him in front of the Lakers. That had to be it.

sucks having to play 3 guards against Brown and Tatum. The difference is Boston was on fire from 3’s. Garland didn’t show up…it’s too bad he has been playing great
Yep.....if was told Garland would have a beyond bad shooting night, Mitchell would be way off (until it almost didn't matter anymore, Cs would be amazing from 3 AND most SG/wings not named Mitchell would be out I would not have thought..."must have been a close game".

Oh well.....81-1 it is?

Good game. Cavs did not play well, I will say. Started playing their game until halfway into the 3rd. Gotta credit Boston. They made tough shots and took advantage of that switch with Brown and Tatum. I rarely say that is a good loss but as hot as Boston was I liked the fight. Boston easily the better team in this one
they were.....but something tells me if, say, Brown was something like 3-21 shooting, we were hitting every 3, at home and they were down 4-5 main rotation players we could have won by more than 3.

You would think 22/23 year old kids got 2 good years left in them the way the league acts

lol nah the league look at 23 year old college kid like they’re 55 or some shit. Same reason Miami got Jacques mid first round in 2023
I think most at the time thought LA got a steal. Doesn’t make sense that many teams passed on him.

A 10 year career is not bad. That is if they fizzle out at 32/33…could last longer

Good regular season game... CLE was never gonna go 82-0.

Mobley looks good, he keeps getting a little better every time I see him.

Boston is the perfect team to team defend a guy like Garland.
They are....but also think just an off game. Missed a number of shots he had been hitting. Happens.

Considering how they played and only lost by 3. That was encouraging except Garland. Boston is in his head
Might be wrong but didn't he have some good games in their series last year despite his awful season? Especially game 4 and/or after Mitchell was out?

He (Garland) started to press last night... you could see it and eventually feel it through the TV screen.

It was as if he said to himself, "I don't care how long and interchangeable these defenders are, I'm gonna keep doing my thing no matter what!"

No bueno, as we saw.

--------

Beyond that... sure, it was just one game during the regular season...

... but I think Garland is a net weakness overall come playoff time.

He's the type of guy that can feast on most nights in the regular season... going up against a lot of average to bad teams giving average to poor effort.

But when the opposition get consistently better and the intensity level ratchets up several notches... his sort of game isn't what any team wants to depend upon to win them a championship.

JMO.
