A major flaw of the defensive rating stat is that it primarily reflects a team's defensive performance as a whole, rather than pinpointing individual defensive contributions

They mainly just look at blocks and big defenders have the advantage. Worthless award at this point.

A real pro doesn't go silent all day, not show up to practice and then wanders in during warm-ups just before the game.

As great as Embiid really is, all these losses will pile up and affect the seeding. No chance in hell this team comes out of the first round if they're matched up against Boston or Cleveland.

Then what? "Better luck next year"? We're only 12 fucking games in!!!

Maxey stepping up into a leadership role. He actually had to play in a bunch of the losses. Maxey maturing and becoming an Alpha is a part of a process to challenge the contenders.

I agree with you. And Embiid's hurting his own legacy. His career right now is summed up by failed expectations and nonstop injuries.

He's never played more than 68 games in a season.

If the Cavs stay mostly healthy you do not want to face them in the 1st round. They're a complete team with a good bench. They can score from all over the court and Allen's been a strong defensive anchor. Then there's Mobley, but you should get the point. Have you seen them play this season? Totally different team from last year.

Careful what you wish for. If it's a Cavs/76ers 1st round the city of cheesesteaks (best sammich out there by the way) would be in trouble.

Embiid can't stay healthy and Playoff P, well he ain't done shit in the playoffs.
