Hold on. The Geeants now claim they have a better package for the Rams for Stafford. Stay tuned on this. Also, the Rams have had convos with the Packers about swapping Kupp for Alexander, straight-up. And of course we have Jackson's potential trade coming up as well.

Turns out the cap space for 2025 for the Rams is now at $44.1 mil and could go higher if they move Kupp, Stafford, and Jackson.

Not really that much when you consider Alaric Jackson would take about 20 of that.

The more teams interested the better, that means the potential trade price goes up :suds:

Yea, LTRF, The Rams may get a First Rounder out of this yet and quite possibly a Second Rounder this year and a future high draft pick.

Yep. MD has Tom Brady (minority owner, who I think one day, MD will sell the team to after they win another snooperbowl or MD dies) negotiating with Stafford directly in one form or fashion. The Rams can't match that kind of bucks. I also suspect that Kupp will go with Stafford.

All that is left, at this point, is for the Raidas and Rams to come to an agreement on trade particulars such as draft picks and perhaps even players. [(perhaps even Brock Bowers will be involved). Send the Raidas Kupp and Jonah Jackson, maybe.]

Disagree. All that's left is for Stafford to talk to the Rams after reportedly being offered 90-100M guaranteed over 2 years from the Giants and Raiders and let them match.

He's going to cost multiple high picks and $35M+ per. Not a need, not a wise investment as a result.
I agree. We really don't need the headache on a number of levels as we have quite a few budding stars at end on the Defense already. The Rams need to focus on the draft where there are some great young talent at DT that the Rams could easily select.

What don't you understand? Since Stafford is still under contract, after he talks to the Rams through his agent, I already stated that the Rams and Raidas have to work out the compensation (in the post) between the two teams to make the trade because nothing happens until the Rams actually file the paperwork for the trade. What on earth?

Stafford has apparently just re-signed with us. Wonder how much cap room we have left

Well crap. Now we have to live with the ramifications.
So, now a huge chunk of the salary cap has been eaten up, and the Rams only have a late 1st rounder to work with until the end of the 3rd in the draft.

I was hoping they would trade him and get a 1st rounder in 2026 ( along with other picks ) when the QB class is much stronger.
